Chapter 2 *Plastic Crush

:: Elizabeth ::

"Yes!" Katie and Leah exclaimed, going into plans of shopping details.

"Awesome," I grinned. "I need a damn good one after Dragon Lady this morning," I snorted as a cheeky smirk found its way onto my face.

"Hey!" Leah protested. "Your mum's nice,"

I raised an amused eyebrow. "To you,"

"What about alcohol?" Katie asked, as of it were the most obvious thing in the world.

"Yeah, we're, like, eighteen this year."  Leah backed her up.

"Yeah, and, like, we get it," I imitated Leah, flicking my hand like a gay chico. I giggled through the whole of it, making it a really lame impression.

Max laughed with me, as Katie rolled her eyes and Leah humphed, then gave up, and started laughing with us.

The bell made a sudden ring for us to go to tutor, and we all went back to Miss. Bells' classroom, where we planned on other details.

Well, Katie and Leah decided; and Max and I joined in at appropriate times.

"When is it?" I asked excitedly, as Leah and Katie went on about whether Rihanna was better than Lady Gaga.

"But Lady Gaga's a dude!" Leah protested, as I rolled my eyes at them.

Max rolled his eyes at them, then grinned at me. "Saturday,"

"Who are you taking, Liz?" Leah asked me. She turned to Max when I hesitated. "I'm taking my boyfriend,"

"Leo?" Max nodded his head in understanding, then looked at Katie. "Who're you taking, Katie?"

Katie scratched her forearm, her cheeks going pink.

"I don't know," She mumbled.

"What about Jack?" Max asked.

Leah, Max and I knew Katie had a crush on Jack Holden, a sporty athlete who loved parties.

He was slightly taller than average height, with curly light brown hair that brushed his long eyelashes and sky blue eyes. He was slightly muscly too; from working out in his gym and doing sport God knows how many times a day.

Katie sighed dreamily, obviously thinking about her and Jack running away together.

"Katie...Katie Holden?" Max asked in an impression of Jack's voice, wondering if that would get her attention.

"Yes, Jack?" Katie asked dazedly, her lips parting slightly.

Leah grinned, as Max and I rolled our eyes at her.

"Katie," Max continued in his 'Jack voice'.

"Hmm?" Katie asked dreamily.

"Ask me to the party when you next see me,"

"M'kay," Katie mumbled with a small smile. "On the condition you kiss me,"

Max looked at me, surprised.

"Should I?"  He mouthed at me and Leah, pointing at Katie; who had her eyes closed and lips pursed, waiting for her kiss from 'Jack'.

I didn't want to kiss Katie. I wanted to pull Liz to me and kiss her!

She was grinning at the moment, her brown eyes sparkling with amusement. Her hair was black and curly, obviously natural, and naturally tanned like me.

She looked so beautiful, and I couldn't have her because I was her best friend.
