It was a happy summer for Jacob, he had just got accepted into MIT. He celebrated by going out for dinner with his parents and kid brother. His brother, Jacoby, was the star point guard on his middle school basketball team. His parents were both accountants for a big company called Smith and Walker Co. He had a very supporting girlfriend and they did lots of stuff together. They both graduated high school at 16, graduated with honors, and they both had a dream for making it to MIT. Vanessa, Jacob's girlfriend, was smart, talented, and beautiful. He lover her as much as his heart would let him love. She loved him back equally, but Vanessa was not accepted into MIT, only Jacob was. Jacob had just picked up Jacoby from basketball practice when he got an unexpected call from Vanessa. He had no idea what was going on. Vanessa didn't tell Jacob about not being accepted into MIT, yet. Vanessa told him to meet her at their favorite restaurant, Mangia. They were at the restaurant for about an hour before she told him the truth. About 30 minutes passed of dead silence...Jacob could not believe what he had just heard. He and Vanessa hadn't spoken a word before they finally left.
