The day came for Vanessa to leave, neither Vanessa or Jacob were happy. Vanessa's mom talked to Jacob's mom about the long distance relationship thing. Vanessa actually decided not to have a long distance relationship because it would be too much of a pain. Jacob didn't want that for Vanessa, so they had to break up. About a month passed and Jacob was doing good at MIT, while Vanessa was having fun in Germany. They wrote each other every once in a while, but nothing too serious. Jacob really missed Vanessa, and the other way around. Vanessa wrote Jacob a really long note, he read it and instantly replied. The note said "Hi, Jacob, I've missed you over the time. Germany has been great, but nothing compares to the fun times I've had with you. I have a great new roommate from Great Britain. She's having guy troubles, too. I think that my stay here will be over soon. I have a couple more months here before I come back. I really want to come back, but I have to wait. Anyway, thanks for being a great listener.

Jacoby was digging through Jacob's stuff and landed on the note Vanessa sent to Jacob. He read the note and taunted Jacob for weeks before giving it back. Jacob finally got to read his note and replied back, "Hey,Vanessa, I got your message, and I feel the same way about you. College is great, I have a gigantic dorm, but an obnoxious roommate, His name is Hao Xung, he's from China. He loves to party, especially on test nights. I'm ready for these last couple of months to be over, not because school is over....but because I'll get to see you. I really miss being around you. I hope you feel the same about me. I will always love you, as a friend and even more than that. I guess we will just have to wait before our big days.

He reread his note before mailing it back. He had a bright smile on his face when the mailman came got the mail. He whispered to himself, "I can't wait!"
