"I don't know how or why this is happening all over again. It can't be, I refuse to believe this." Audrey said over the phone to Noah.
"I'm sure it's just some big misunderstanding and it'll all be cleared up soon. Most likely just another prank"
"Noah, I can't go through this all over again-"
"Aud, just give it some time. I'm sure the truth will come out soon and we'll know exactly what we're dealing with."
"I just know deep inside that something isn't right. The gloomy clouds, rainy weather and falling leaves aren't helping my overall mood at all either."
"It'll be okay, I promise. You could always look at idea of leaving Lakewood?"
"Are you kidding Noah? My entire life is in this town, you know I can't."
"Well listen, I have to go to class but why don't I give you a call later. Sound good?"
"Noah, I promise I'm not crazy! This is actually happening and I don't sense an ounce of urgency in your voice."
"Goodbye Audrey, I'll talk to you later. Take care of yourself, okay?"
Audrey pulls the phone away from her face as she hears the line disconnect after Noah's last sentence. Ever since Noah and Emma left for college, Audrey has felt a piece of her missing.
Noah wants to forget about his past, so he doesn't want some prank [that's what he thinks] to get in the way of his promising future.

Noah walks into the first floor dorm lounge and pops a squat on the couch placed right in front of the TV.
He switches through the channels until he finds CNN news. Noah has always loved keeping himself updated on societal and political issues, so in his down time, you know where to find him.
After several commercial breaks and many political debates later, a alert message pops up and starts running across the bottom of the screen.
Noah catches the last half since he didn't notice it right away.
...it ever end?
The message starts coming across the screen again and this time Noah is watching the words as the appear from the right side of the TV.
Video footage from Lakewood shopping center shows masked killer slaughtering cashier. It's happening again, will it ever end?
Noah looks off into the distance and mumbles the words "It's happening again" out of his mouth.
He jumps up off of the couch, out of the lounge and then throws open the stairway door. He runs up the stairs two steps at a time and eventually makes it to the fourth floor. He hurries into his room and throws a new shirt on. After taking a quick look in the mirror, Noah throws his backpack over his shoulder and is out the door before the next minute strikes.
He hops into his car and speeds out of the resident parking lot not even two minutes later.
As Noah's merging onto the thruway, sweat starts to bead all across his forehead. He glances down at his phone to see over twenty missed calls from Brooke.
Noah picks up his phone from his lap and taps one of the missed calls in order to call Brooke back.
After several rings, Brooke answers the phone with noticeable emotion in her voice. "Hello?"
"Brooke, oh my goodness! Are you okay? I can't believe this is happening I'm on my way back right now I should be there within an hour!"
"Noah, thank god you're-" Brooke ended the phrase suddenly and broke down to tears.
