The commotion died down and I grew more sane. I notice a trail of blood in the alleyway by the library. I stop, something tells me it belonged to Fi.
Trusting my instincts, I follow the trail, if I was right there would be no way that this would lead to her alive. The blood was puddles in some areas, rippling from the rain. It lead me to the Isle of Songs, through the winding courtyard and to the center.
I froze at the enterance as I saw her lying there. Her back was turned from me, her blood pooled all around her. I made myself run, my heart gravitated towards her. I skid on my knees to her, "Fi...! NO!" I utter as I scoop her up. She felt cold and lifeless, "No...it wasn't supposed to be this way! Fi, I'm so sorry! Please don't leave me!" I fight back my tears but they break through. I pull her body close to me, "please...I'm so sorry...please don't leave me!" I let out a scream of frustration and despair. Then I feel the ground shake below me. Something is happening, I lay Fi down and pull myself up. I see the ground around the outskirts of the courtyard begin to separate and slowly fly upwards.
I run out of the maze and tuck and roll off of the rising earth onto the true ground. I land with a grunt and look back up at the now flying Isle of Songs. I look in the other direction and see the core of Hylian City following the same flight path. What is going on here?
I scramble to a standing position, slipping on the wet ground a few times. I run back to find Demise but am called involuntarily to him. When I appear, I see him starring up at the rising grounds.
"The Goddess is smart, taking her people out of the fight like this...but this war is far from over..." Demise says and he turns to me, "I've taken care of the girl. There will be no counterpart of yours any longer. You will continue to be one of a kind." He informs me and he turns and walks away, shaking the ground a bit as he moves. I stay quiet...I feel the madness in me begging to take over and I let it. There is no reason to do otherwise any longer...
