Our Little Secret (Destiel AU)

The Plan

The next morning, Dean walked into the kitchen to see Cas pacing, nervous. Dean went over and hugged his now Fiancé. He said, "Don't worry angel. Everything will be fine. Just act natural until the plan begins. If anyone notices the ring, just say you'll make an announcement about it later and to keep quiet."

Cas nodded. He quickly shrugged on his trench coat and hurried out the door, heart pounding in anticipation.

He did his best to act natural all morning and somehow managed. He discussed Once Upon a Time with Charlie and debated on whether Emma should be with Neil or Captain Hook.  (Captain Swan all the way) He managed to dodge the two girls from yesterday when they tried to question him. He got a comment about his new ring from a colleague, but they gladly kept it a secret and was happy for him.

Finally, at exactly 12:35, the plan went into action. Cas walked through the hallway and stood outside one of the cafeteria Windows, where students would be able to see him clearly. No one was paying much attention to him at the moment. So far things were going great. At 12:40, Dean arrived with Cas' lunch and walked into the school, meeting Cas by the window. He handed him the lunch and they kissed. When Dean pulled away, they saw Charlie staring at them through the window along with Meg and Balthazar. They were all grinning and began to applaud the couple, who were both laughing. They walked into the lunchroom as more people began to take notice. The two held hands and Cas pecked Dean on the cheek. Everyone was delighted about the announcement (with a few exceptions but f*ck them) and the lovers were swamped with congrats and of course autographs with Dean for a while.

Eventually, the students had to return to class, buzzing about what had just happened. By the end of the day, the entire school knew what had happened.

Cas had already gotten a sub for the remainder of the day, so he made an escape with Dean. They arrived home and as soon as they walked in, they both squealed like little kids and then cracked up. When they calmed down, they settled down on the couch with Dean's laptop.

Time for phase two.

They sat together, Cas' arm around Dean's shoulders, watching the video they had recorded the previous night.

AN: Dean speaking is bold like this and Cas speaking is in italics.

"Hey, friends. So as a sequel of a sort to my coming out video, I have some very big news to share- I'm getting married!"

*cas walks in and sits with Dean. Dean kisses him on the cheek*

H- hey. So you're probably wondering who I am. My name is Castiel Novak, but most people call me Cas. I'm an art teacher at a high school nearby. I am now engaged to my lovely boyfriend of nearly four years, Dean Winchester.

They went on to tell the story of how they met.

It was summertime and Cas here was working at a Starbucks since he obviously wasn't teaching during summer vacation.

And Dean goes there every day at exactly 4:00 pm. I served him one day and since it was the end of my shift, we started to talk. We hit it off right away.

Yep. And so after that he served me every day and after about a month of this, right before school was about to start, we exchanged numbers and had our first date right there in that coffee shop that night.

We've been together ever since.

The two continued telling their love story, up to the purposal.

After the video ended, the lovers sat in comfortable silence for a few minutes. Dean broke the silence by softly saying, "ready, angel?"

"Ready as I'll ever be," Cas replied. "Human." He added as an afterthought.

They both took a deep breath and with that, Cas uploaded the video. They held hands as the first viewers freaked out in the comments, congratulating them and the occasional disappointed one, saying that now they had no chance. (Sarcastic of course.) Dean and Cas had some laughs with those.

Later, Dean looked at Cas and said, "So no more little secrets huh." Cas nodded. "Yeah. But I think it was time we shared it with the world." They kissed and began to cuddle.

They fell asleep on the couch together, dreaming of the life ahead of them, the life they would be spending together.
