Outside

He laid in the grass and looked at the sky.

"Who left the door open?
Who left me outside?
I'm bent, I'm not broken.
Come live in my life."

He sang as he closed his eyes and thought of everything that had happened earlier today. 'They kicked me out' Danny thought and his face scrunched up in an effort to hold back tears. 'They don't love me anymore'

"All the words left unspoken.
All the pages I write.
On my knees and I'm hoping.
That someone holds me tonight.
Hold me tonight."

Choked sobs came from his mouth as he let the tears slip down his face and onto the grass. He sat up and ran his fingers through his hair as screams filled the air around him. He felt like dying but knew he would get through this if he prayed. He put his hands together and closed his eyes, the prayer leaving his mouth in a hushed tone

"God? It's me Danny. I'm sorry for what I've done, but I can't help that I feel this way."

He stopped and took in a deep, shaky breath.

"I-I'll try and change for you but I don't know if I can, please god, don't hate me for this please. I'm trying my best but it's hard to a-and nobody is helping me out, so I guess I'm asking you for help."

Everything went quiet and he sighed.

"So please......help me."

He broke down sobbing.

"Fucking faggot..."

He whispered to himself and pulled on his hair.

"Fucking idiot!"

He screamed out to no one but himself

"Why do you have to like guys and ruin everything for yourself!"

He reached for his bag and took out his pocket knife. He pulled up his jacket sleeve and put the cold metal to his skin. He dragged it across the soft flesh a few times. He stopped and angled the knife towards his stomach.

"I'm sorry...."

He drew the knife back and plunged it into the sensitive skin and through the soft organs inside him. He repeatedly stabbed himself in the abdomen until he was coughing up blood. He pulled the blade out of his stomach, his clothes were stained with his own blood. He fell onto the ground and whispered a soft "goodbye." As he closed his eyes to finally die hoping he would go to Heaven.
