Em's POV

I'd lie still for almost 20 minutes now, and there was no sign that the tears falling from my eyes would stop.

I couldn't help it. I was going to be the Walrider's host, whether I wanted to or not. I was going to trapped here until my death. I would never be able to get married, or have hopes of somehow having kids. I would never see my family or Miles ever again.

If the Walrider wasn't lying about bringing Miles and Waylon back, I only had a limited amount of time to say goodbye. That limited time span would be even shorter as Billy Hope's body slowly withered to death.

The sound of multiple pairs of boots stomping towards me echoed in my ears. I did nothing but lie still. I knew who they were. Mr. Jeremy Blaire's hench men, most likely coming to bring me to him.

"Don't move!" One of the soldiers yelled from behind me.

"I'm not."

The soldier bent down to put handcuffs on my hands.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," I growled. I wasn't even trying to say that! How was I saying that?

The soldier ignored my random remark, clasping the first handcuff around my wrist. Before he could go to clasp the other cuff, I turned around at astounding speed, pushing my arms out in front of me. The soldier flew backwards, landing in the rest of the soldiers. They all fell like bowling pins.

"Freeze!"

Now a different soldier was yelling from the hall to my left, aiming a gun at me.

Without even thinking, I lunged for him, my arms out in front of my face.

A shot rang out from the gun he held, and I watched as it came straight for me.

The bullet barely reached my chest before it turned around, sailing right into the soldier's chest. The soldier collapsed, twitched for a moment, then fell motionless.

"He's dead, get her!"

All at once, dozens of soldiers flocked toward me.

With a mere and thoughtless flick of my hand, they all fell backward.

I looked up, facing a security camera. I narrowed my eyes, watching it shatter.

Time suddenly stopped. I collapsed breathlessly, numbness filling my body. Once again, blood spilled from my nose, eyes, and ears. Glancing down at my arm, I noticed the veins glowing a dark shade of black.

"Shit," I groaned. I tried to stand up, but the numbness filling my body made it impossible.

"It won't be numb for long."

Billy stood in front of me, his arms crossed at his chest.

"What did you do?"

"I didn't do anything, Emily. You did this all yourself."

"I couldn't have. I wasn't even thinking. It just...happened."

"I gotta say, I'm really proud of you. It's hard to absorb an entire nano swarm bit by painful bit. But you've kept it together so far."

Billy paused, before looking down. His face filled with seriousness.

"I have somewhere to be. I don't have much longer."

Billy disappeared as quick as he had come, once again leaving me alone.

The numbness had subsided, and I rose to my feet. I shuddered as cold air reached my body. I was suddenly aware of the fact that, while I was just in my bra and underwear, I had a much bigger chance of getting killed due to the almost entire exposure of my body. Hell, anybody could've plunge a knife into me while I was thinking about this.

I looked around, and found a sign right above another room. It took a moment to read, but when I realized what it said I sighed with relief.

Laundry.

There had to be something to protect my body with in a laundry room, right?

I limped for the room, quickly clambering inside and locking the door. Just as I had hoped, there was clothing everywhere.

I found a patient jumpsuit and quickly pulled it over my freezing body. It was a little big, but I most likely had no time to complain, especially with everything crawling around outside.

Quickly and stealthily, I unlocked the door and exited the laundry room.

I walked until I reached the administration block. I was about to go downstairs when I stopped in my tracks. There was still something I had to do.

I turned back and strutted to Eddie's lair. Upon entering the lair, I scoured around, searching for what I was looking for.

I found it almost immediately. I shoved my camcorder into the pocket of the jumpsuit. Now, I had to find the other object I was looking for.

I found the remote to the security cameras, lying on the table where I had been laying on earlier. I snatched it up, pointing it at the wall. The cameras turned on immediately.

I focused on every one of them, shutting my eyes. All of the videos flashed in my brain, all at the same time. I groaned as the pain in my head became even further excruciating as slowly, slowly, every video turned to static.

I opened my eyes, gasping for breath. My ears rang at maximum velocity. Despite the pain, I grinned like a lunatic.

"Try and find me now, you bastard," I sneered.

I turned my back to the room, practically leaping for the stairs.

I was going to see Miles and Waylon again. And nobody, not even the Walrider or Jeremy Blaire, would get in my way of going home.
**************
(A/N): Short chapter, I know. I'm sorry. It's been a long few days. I have school tomorrow. I have major fatigue.

Buuut, on the bright side, I might have a boyfriend soon ;). Basically, my mom and a cashier at Walmart played matchmaker when the cashier found I went to the same school and was the same age as her son. He's very cute though (the cashier aka his mom showed me a pic of him) but I really like another guy at the same time. Very confusing love life I have.

Summary time!

So Em's devastated because she doesn't want to become the host, then when Jeremy Blaire's guards are sent to get Em, she attacks them with new powers which she soon finds out are from absorbing the Walrider's nano swarm. She gets dressed after he leaves and is about to go downstairs, then decides to turn around and get her camcorder, then destroys all of the security cameras so Jeremy can't find her.

As always, please don't forget to vote and comment, and I will see in the next chapter!
