"I don't need an antidote," said Minomo, "because your drug didn't work on me."
Gasps from men spread around the room out of shock.
"But-but-it's not possible! I was very careful and very precise in making this drug! You are supposed to be in your ecstasy by now!" Jin mumbled as he shook in horror.
"That doesn't matter! I am going to end you anyways!" Tsukuyo declared as she ran towards Jin. Jin let go of Minomo in shock and she fell to the floor out of balance. The remaining rebels ran towards Tsukuyo to attack but the rest of Tsukuyo's crew stepped in to attack the rebels. Just in time, Kondo returned with his full uniform but was caught in surprise by the battle taking place in front of his eyes.
"What are you doing staring? Help us already!" Toshi demanded as he spotted Kondo by the door. Kondo's face turned serious at once as he marched towards the rebels. Hinowa rushed to alert the Hyakka for some backup.
Everyone was busy taking down the rebels one by one but Toshi wanted to find Jin and end him like the arrogant bastard he is. As he swayed his sword against the rebels, his eyes were focused on spotting Jin in order to approach him and cut him down.
When he spotted Jin, he immediately realized that he was planning to leave his comrades and escape to the above ground. After grabbing the sword of a fallen comrade, Jin's eyes were roaming around the room for the exit. Then his eyes lay on Minomo who was trying to get up and steady herself. He rushed to her, grabbed her furiously and stormed out of the room.
"Damn it!" Toshi shouted as he made his way to Jin. But he was halted by a number of rebels with their swords trying to cut him. Toshi held up his sword in defense gritting his teeth and putting all his strength to his arms. He let out a battle cry as he pushed away all the swords and the rebels and followed Jin.
Jin was a few footsteps away from Toshi, gripping Minomo by the arm and forcing her down the stairs to the main exit. Minomo was struggling, her hand on the place where Jin was holding her.
"Stop right there, you bastard!" Toshi yelled as he ran at top speed to catch Jin. As soon as Jin realized Toshi was behind, Jin picked up his speed and rushed towards the main exit. But before he reached it, the Hyakka arrived at the door as they pointed their kunais at him. Jin stepped back in horror and when he looked back, Toshi was already at the bottom of the stairs with his arms crossed.
Toshi pulled out a cigarette and started smoking casually. After some time, he spoke, "Give up, Jin. It's over."
Jin gritted his teeth as he looked around for a chance to escape but there wasn't any. Minomo saw the chance and she tried to break free from Jin's grip but Jin noticed it immediately and held his sword near her throat.
"Let me go, or she dies," Jin demanded as he circled around the room to let everyone see the sword near Minomo's throat.
"Clear the way or I swear I will cut her head off!" he shouted and the Hyakka slowly cleared the path for him. He let out a toothy grin as he faced the exit.
"You really a tool, Minomo," he whispered as he turned around to laugh at Toshi's furious expression. He was about to insult him and his grip on the sword handle loosened. But a sudden movement caught him off guard.
Minomo grabbed the sharp edge of the sword and took it away from Jin. It was so sudden that he lost the grip on his sword. Jin tried to take it back but Minomo threw it away at once.
"You little-" Jin shouted as he tried to get a hold of her again. "Nice try," Minomo whispered as she turned her head up, crashing Jin's nose in the process. Jin screamed in pain as he fell down backwards, hitting his head with the hard floor and knocking self out. Toshi and the Hyakka watched Minomo's little show in silence with their faces blank, not knowing how to react.
