The distressed young man sits at home, staring at his cellphone. It’s done, it must be. Why else would Matt not respond? Zayn left for the village, and it cost Matt his life. The muscular adolescent sighs deeply, sorrow and grief breeding together in his heart.
Hiding his face in his hands, his breath comes out shaky, and uneven. Matthew told him that he couldn’t be there forever, that he had to fight for what’s right, but to go this far? Its just a stupid ring, Zayn could live without it.
But Liam can’t live without Matt, he really can’t. They never even had the chance to form a relationship; Matt would always push him away, always trying to protect him.
And now, Liam is going to find out what happened to the boy. He is determined. He knows people, he is surely able to talk to someone who knows how to find out about the people that the government wipes out. There has to be a way.

Zayn notices an eerie glow coming from the bedroom of a small house. The blinds are preventing him from seeing what is causing the glow, but really, he already knows. His Shrink pack.
A shadow keeps blocking the light every few minutes and Zayn knows that shadow, it's definitely a person. And quite frankly Zayn doesn't even care who will see him or who is inside, he has to get his Shrink pack before somebody sees it and takes it. Somebody other than that boy.
He grabs the only jacked he had on - the rest of them still in the Shrink pack - and heads out. He goes straight to that house and only then realizes that he can't just knock upon the boy's door and walk to his room to take the Shrinker. The boy wouldn't let that happen. So instead Zayn decides to sneak carefully across the back lawn.
He's been waiting for a couple of minutes when he sees a boy leave. Assuming he is the only one living in the tiny home Zayn heads back. He thinks that the best idea is to go through the neighbours garden and then to the other one, but soon he finds out that his idea was about to completely backfire. Zayn somehow failed to realize that the neighbours just might have a dog. And a very brutal one of that.
Zayn tries to run to the forest that surrounds the houses, hoping the dog won’t follow, but to no avail. The dog catches up with him rapidly and lands a firm bite into his ankle, causing Zayn to yelp in pain and the dog to growl over him.
Louis, having only gone to the store, realizes that something is wrong as soon as he returns home to frightened girls.
“Louis!” Daisy whines and latches onto his leg. “Mr.Tannedanansome was attacked by fluffy!” She says and Lottie rolls her eyes.
“The dog’s name is Spark.” she mutters. Its not long before yelling and wrestling ensues and Louis is at his wits end.
“Girls! What on Earth was Daisy so upset about in the first place!?” he asks, grabbing hair to pull the girls apart to which the both whine. He looks sternly at both girls, shooting his glance back and forth between the two of them.
“Mr.Mistress! He’s in the back yard and fluffy hurt him!” She says. Louis sighs at the distressed little girl and takes her hand, walking out to the backyard. He knows that his little sisters like to imagine things, and like to make up cute little stories which more than often weren't that cute.
“See? Nothings there. And look, Spark is in his doghouse. Everything’s safe.” He says, looking across the lawn. As usual, the girls look at him with wide blue eyes as if they still expect him to believe them after he's gotten proof, so he rolls his eyes and turns around.
