She walked in the room, her stride showing her confidence, which was often confused with arrogance. The other agents sat up straight, and silence filled the room. She stood at the front of the table and looked around the room. Her blue piercing eyes looked around the room. She pushed her curled brunette hair back, and placed her hands on the table, landing down with a thud.

"Fill me in."

Nervous glances were exchanged around the room as one man in a ripped black tuxedo with a few bullet holes in the jacket stood up.

"Hey Ace."

The brunette shook her head, but a faint smile spread upon her face as the man began to speak. He had dirty blonde hair, and was only 2 years older than herself, making him 21.

He grinned, while every shook with fear in her presence.

She wiped her smile off of her face as she looked towards him.

"Fill me in. Now." She replied, an authority tone seeping into her words.

"12 cases. 7 girls, 5 guys. All dead, except 2. Kaylee Wright, and Jason Tory. We believe that  Jason Tory fell in love with this girl while on the job. Classified information was told to Kaylee Wright. He didn't make the kill as part of plan, so she was able to get away, and then he escaped from our grasp."

Finally, another man walked in the room that made the brunette go rigid. She stood up straighter and looked at the man.

"H-hi Sir."

He kissed her cheek, and she looked away.

"Hey Katherine."

"Sir, would you like to listen to the rep-" The man grabbed the folder from the man, and looked back at Katherine.

"Kylee Wright. New to Manhattan. Kill her."

She looked down at the file, seeing how happy the girl seemed to be in the picture. Her head laid upon her a boy's shoulder, her boyfriend, she assumed. She had long blonde curly hair, green eyes, and a smile that reached her eyes. This girl had fooled them all, but she seemed happy. Katherine only wished she could be happy. This is a profession where you couldn't put emotions in front of logical thinking.

She looked up and nodded.

"I'll take care of it."

"Good." He slammed the file shut, and looked around, giving a crooked grin. "Now, get back to work. We have to control these two, and get back on our other cases."

Everyone walked out, but Katherine was pulled aside before she could escape.

"Repeat the saying. Now, Katherine." His hand on her arm pushed down hard, but compared to what pain she had faced before, it was nothing. She pulled away, her eyes flashing anger.

"Why?" She whispered. "What good will it do? I just say something and it's supposed to be the boss of how I live my life?"

"Katherine!" He yelled, his eyes widening, his smile leaving his face.

A knife shot out from his wrist and put it to her throat.  His nostrils flared in an upward motion.

"Now, Katherine."

She swallowed hard, wondering how she could ever love a man like this. Even if it was her father, he treated her badly.

"We punish people to save this country. There is no other way around it, but this is our way." She whispered, looking away.

The knife pulled away from her throat, his hand releasing from her arm.

"Good, now go after the rogue agent and his girlfriend." He told her sternly, pointing to the door.

She quickly ran off quickly, getting halfway out before he called her again.

"Katherine?"

She pauses, looking back at him. "Yes?"

"Don't listen to the rogue agent. He knows nothing but lies."

She smiled softly. "As do I." She whispered, walking out, the door slamming shut behind her.
