It's been three months since Taehyung and Jungkook separated. The older male understood that his boyfriend had to return home to his hometown for winter break, but months? Not only that, but after two weeks of video chatting and texting, everything just stopped.
Taehyung didn't want to bother the younger, afraid that Jungkook's family may have scolded him for spending too much time on his phone rather than his family. But he misses his boyfriend.
"Tae!" Hoseok called, handing his friend a bucket of fish. "It's feeding time."
Taehyung nodded as he reluctantly grabbed the bucket. Baekhyun, who stood at the edge of the pool, noticed his brother's sad demeanor and frowned. "Are you okay little bro?"
"Just peachy." The other muttered.
"Did he just say peachy?" Hoseok raised a brow. "Who the heck says peachy?"
Baekhyun motioned for his younger brother to join him and the two sat at the water's edge, feeding the dolphins one by one. "This is about your boyfriend, am I right?"
"It's been months hyung. Why hasn't he called? Or texted? I just want to know if he's okay."
"From what I hear, that kid took perfectly good care of getting a polar bear back into it's exhibit without a single scratch. No thanks to Jimin and Hoseok." Baekhyun grinned at the other who lifted his hands in objection.
"It wasn't my fault! Jimin did it first!" Hoseok defended.
"What did I do?" The three turned their heads towards the doorway where Jimin stood with a group of tourists behind. "If you are done with your gossip, I have a group here ready for their dolphin encounter."
Taehyung sighed as he stood, regaining his composure as he flashed a smile at the group. "Hello. My name is V and I will be your dolphin guide. If you follow Baekhyun here, he will get you suited up in your life vests and prepare you for your swim with the dolphins."
The words almost felt dry in his mouth. He loved sharing his passion of dolphins, but ever since Jungkook lost contact, everything felt dull. "Jungkook, where are you?"
As the group were guided into the backroom, Jimin walked over to his frowning friend and handed him a phone. "Jin called. Said he wanted to talk to you."
"About?"
"He didn't say, but told me to let you know as soon as possible." Jimin smiled. "Maybe it's about Jungkook."
Taehyung spent no time questioning his best friend as he snatched the device away and dialed Jin's number. It took two rings before the older male answered. "Hyung! You wanted to talk to me?"
"Tae, he's back. Jungkook's back."
"Oh thank god! Is he at your house? Can I drive over now? How is he?"
"He's okay. He's at home and everything, but you need to —" Jin was cut off as Taehyung tossed the phone back at Jimin before sprinting to the counter and grabbing his belongings.
"I have to go! Jungkook's back!" Taehyung exclaimed.
"That's great!" Hoseok cheered. "Wait, what about the group?"
"I'll take care of it." Baekhyun chirped in, tossing the car keys to the over-excited Taehyung. "Have fun."
"Thanks hyung! I owe you one!"
—
To say that the drive from Sea World to Jungkook's home was fast would be a lie. It felt like a year to Taehyung and if it weren't for his fear of being pulled over by a cop and slowing down his time to get to his boyfriend's house, Taehyung would have ran every red light.
As he approached the familiar neighborhood, he felt his palms sweating and his heart racing quickly. Was he nervous? Why would he be? It's his boyfriend! Hell, it's Jungkook!
By the time Taehyung arrived at the house, there was a large home-moving vehicle parked infront of his boyfriend's house. Jin was standing outside of his driveway waiting for the male as Taehyung rushed out of his vehicle, almost forgetting to shut of the engine as he rushed over to his hyung.
"Jungkook! Where's Jungkook? What is all of this? Is he moving?"
"He's inside, but Taehyung listen he —"
The younger male pushed past Jin, rushing up the driveway in excitement. "I have to see him! I have to—"
"Taehyung, he doesn't remember you!"
The said male stopped in his tracks, slowly turning around to face his hyung. Only now had he noticed Jin's pink, puffy eyes; as if his hyung had been crying earlier before. "He— he what?"
"He doesn't remember you." Jin repeated, words cutting deep into Taehyung's heart. "He doesn't remember me. He doesn't remember Seoul. He doesn't remember any of us."
