MEMORIES

I was only 5years old, the last time I saw my mother. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was laying on my mother's bed, when I heard a loud bang come from down stairs making me jump. I was holding onto my teddy bear as tight as I could, I slowly walked down the stairs as the banging grow louder. I dropped to my knees to see my beautiful mother coughing up blood while being kicked in the stomach, I didn't know how to react. I screamed as loud as my little body could, causing the man in the mask to turn his attention on me. He began to walk over to me, I saw my mom get up as fast she could but she made sure that she was quite. She grabbed a frying pan and tip-toed behind the man, when he was about an inch away from me she swing as hard she could causing him fall. She hit him 2 more times to insure that he was out cold. "Mia, come here" she said letting me know that it was safe. "We have to hurry, so grab the bag of clothes I packed for you" she says rubbing my cheek. "Okay mami" I tell her before running upstairs and grabbing the bag. She picked the bag up then me, she ran to our car and put me in then trowing the bag in the back seat. She quickly jogged over to the drivers seat and hit the gas, it felt like we were driving for ever. "Mommy where are we going?" I asked her while looking at the black eye she had on her face. "Your going to live with your grandma" she with a lonely tear drop falling from her swollen eye. "Your not staying" I felt my eyes watering. "No mommy will come back to you when my job is done" she said trying to fight back tears. I began to cry, turning my back to my mom. I felt her looking at my back, she took one hand off of the wheel and rubbed my back until I feel a sleep.
30 minutes later...
I felt my little body being lifted from the car's seat, I opened my eyes to see that we were at my grandma's house. "Okay, mommy's gotta go now... I love you Mia" she stopped what she was saying to take in her surroundings, then looked back at me. "Never blame yourself for what happened today...ok" I nod and hug her. "I love you mommy" when we let go I ran into my grandma's arms and cried. She carried me inside of the house, I got one last look at my mother before she drove away...
Present day...
I was laying on the grass day dreaming of my mom and how beautiful she was, but a shadow was towering over me breaking me from my thoughts. "Mia get up and help me with the groceries" my grandma said helping me up. "Fine" I said dragging out the I. I went to the car and grabbed the last set of bags then walked into the large house, and placed them on the kitchen counter. "Somebody's finally bought that house across the street" she said causing me to look out of the window. "Go say hi" she said, I looked at her like she was crazy. "You go say hi" I said laughing while walking up the stairs. I went to my room and watched 3 boys get out of a white BMW just as a moving truck pulled up. I walked away from the window and put on my favorite song One dance by The bomb Digz. I opened my window just to let some air in, I didn't realize how loud my radio was. I walking around my room dancing and singing along to the lyrics. When I came to my window I noticed that one of the boys was watching me. I fell to the ground, my heart began to beat out of my chest. I took a deep breath and looked out the window to see the boy laughing and turning around. I stuck my tongue out him, then flopped onto my bed. I called my best friend in the whole world Brianna. "Hey bitch" I said when she answered, "Hey bitch, what you doing?" She laughed. "Nothing but you want to sleep over this week cause my grandma is going to Dominican Republic to see my cuzion" I said running my fingers through my hair. "I'm already packing a bag I'll be there in 5minutes, ima tell Jay to come." "I was gonna tell her any way but I'll see u later" I said then hanging up. I walked down stairs to see that my grandma was getting ready to leave for her flight. "Is Bree and Jay staying with you?" She said. "Yup" I said popping the p. "Alright, it's time for me to go" she says hugging me then kissing my cheek. I walked her to the taxi, and waved goodbye as they drove off. I looked across the street and thought why not say hi. So I walked across the street and got up to the door, I was about to knock on the door. My mind is telling me no, but my body was like let's do this bitch. I knocked on the door and it was the boy who was watching me, turns out was  Kevin from the bomb digz. I just stared at him in complete shock, "Um... Hi... um..welcome to the neighborhood" I said and began to walk off when he pulled me back by my forearm. "Thanks but what's your name?" He said licking his lips, in my head I'm like your bae. "Mia" I said putting my hand out for a hand shake, he shook my hand. "I saw you stick your tongue out at me" he said catching me off guard. "My bad" I laughed walking back to my house. I felt his eyes watching my small but curvy figure. When I got to my door, I turned around giving him one last glare then went into the house.
10 minutes later...
A knock came from the door, I looked out of the peephole to see my two most favorite people besides my grandma and my mom. I swung the door open with a big smile on my face, "Hey mia" they said at the same time causing us to laugh. "Hey y'all, but I have tell you guys something" I said pulling them into the house. "What do you have tell us?" Jay said siting on the couch and kicking her feet up. "Hold on let me eat something to eat" she said walking to kitchen, "Alright then let me put on my oncie"(one-z) I said walking up the steps. "Me too" Jay said grabbing her bag then pushing past me. "I'll change in bathroom down here." Bree said as she grabbed her oncie out of her bag. After we were done we all settled on the couch, I picked up the remote and got on Netflix and searched up Horror films. "So what did you have to tell us" Bree said looking up from her tablet. Before I could say anything a knock came from the door. I ran to look out of the window and saw Kevin, Devin, and Daniel. I waved my had telling them to come here, they ran over to window then looked at me. "Oh my god" Bree whispered. "That's what I was trying to tell you guys" I whisper looking out of the window. "Open the door" Jay yelled loud enough for them to look at the window. We jumped to the ground then laughed at how ridiculous we looked. I got up and answered the door, Kevin was staring at me which made me blush. "Take a picture it'll last longer" I laughed. "Well aren't you gonna let us in? We got pizza" Kevin said towering over me. "Pizza!!" I heard Jay and Bree loud ass say in excitement. "Come in then" I said stepping aside. They walked and Daniel and Devin sat down on the couch with Jay and Bree, while Kevin followed me to the kitchen. "Y'all matching" he said with a smile, "We do this every time we have a sleepover" I said looking for paper plates. "You look cute, Mia" he said handing me a bag of paper plates. "Thank you" I as we walked back to the living room. I sat down on the chase and Kevin sat with cause me to smile. All night we watched movies and enjoyed each others company. When it was time for them to leave I walked them to the door, "Bye have a good night" I yawned. "Not before you give me a hug" Kevin said with opened arms. I walked into his arms and hugged him, I felt like I wanted to sleep in his arms but I didn't really know him all like that. Before we let go, he whispered in my ear and said "You know you gonna be mine right." "We'll see about that" I said letting go of his body. "We'll see" he said leaving me with those words. I closed the door and walked to my bedroom to see Bree and Jay laying in my king sized bed. I jumped on the bed and made myself comfortable then went to sleep...
