DAY DREAMERS

I was laying by the pool thinking of the words Kevin told me last night. Jay and Bree were in the house changing in to their bathing suits. Then I remembered my grandma told me to make sure I get the mail, so I got up and ran to the front door. I had forgotten that I only had a 2 piece bathing suit on, I opened the door a ran to the mail box and grabbed the mail. I was walking back up to the house when I heard a familiar voice. "Hey Mia, I see you been ignoring me" my exs Derrick said. "I haven't been ignoring you, I just don't like you" I said looking at him up and down. "Why don't you like me I told you that I was sorry" he said walking up to me then grabbing my arms, I was struggling to get out of his grip. "Get off of me" I yelled in his face, just then I saw Kevin running up to me then pulling me away from Derrick by my waist. "Why you touching my girl like that?" Kevin said pushing me behind him. "My bad, I don't want no problems" Derrick said walking away which was odd. "Thank you Kevin but I'm not your girlfriend" I say walking away. "Not yet" he said biting his lip. "What are you doing today" I felt myself say. "Nothing much, why?" he said walking me to the door. "Because we're having a little get together kinda like a pool party" I said nervously. "I'm gonna go home, change then come back with the guys" he says looking at my body making me realize that the shape of my body is risible. "Who gonna be there?" He asked grabbing my waist pulling me closer to him. "Me, Jay, Bree, and my cousin nonney and her boyfriend" I said looking up at him. "Alright, but give me a hug before I go" he says reaching out then pulling me into his arms. I wrap my arms around his neck, and his are on my waist pulling me closer so that our bodies were touching. I looked in his eyes as he looked in mine, we slowly leaned in bring our lips closer. Then my dumb ass cuzion pulled up beeping the horn to her black Benz fucking up the moment, we both jumped a little then laughed. "Well I gotta go I'll be back later" he said giving me a warm smile that made me blush. I walked to the drive way, when nonney stepped out of the car I tackled her with hugs and kisses. "I miss you too Mia, now get yo big ass off me" she giggled. I haven't seen her since my grandma's birthday 2 years ago. I get off of her then help her up, then I noticed a carseat for a baby in the back seat. "Nonney you had a baby" I said in confusion. She hesitated to answer, then finally she nodded yes. "Is it a girl" I exclaimed. "Yup and her name is Nina like your mom" she said causing both of us to smile. "Bae... You gonna bring the Food in" she yelled at her boyfriend Brandon. "Omg, hey green giant" I said with opened arms. "Wsp shorty" he hugging me then letting go. "So you got my cuzion pregnant nigga" I said playfully. "Yea nigga" he said laughing. I walked back into the house where nonney was getting the grill ready. I jumped in the pool and messed with Jay cause she can't swim.

"Y'all ready" I said walking into the living room. "Yeah" Daniel said standing up. "We gonna be late" I yelled from the bottom of the stairs, Devin ran down the stairs then falling on his ass. "That's what yo over dramatic ass get" I said walking out the door. We walked over to Mia's house and opened the door to be greeted with hugs from Mia's cuzion nonney. She looked like Mia but a little bit older they had the same smile and the same small dimple that came out when they laugh, then I noticed Mia walking towards me in a hot pink two piece that showed her curves. Her body was amazing she had a flat stomach, big butt, she just seemed so different. "You know it's bad to stare" she said looking up at me, I didn't even realize I was staring. "I can't help it your just so beautiful" I said making her smile. Everyone was outside having a good time, there was food like rice and beans, fried and grilled chicken, baked macaroni and cheese, and lots snacks and drinks. Me and Mia were the only ones in the pool messing with each other, we swam up to each other so that we were face to face. We were just in the water staring into each others eyes. I pulled her in closer then kissed her soft lips I pulled myself back to see her smiling. "Why you smiling?" I questioned with frowned brow. "Cause I like you" when she said that my face lit up with joy. This time she kissed me, seconds later it became a full on make out session. "Y'all cute as shit" nonney yelled making us jump. "You just love fucking up the moment don't you" Mia said getting out of the pool. "Yup, just trying to make sure you don't have any kids yet" she said looking dead at me. "Bye girl I'm only 17... why would I want any kids?" She asked with a smile. I got out shortly after and sat on one of the lawn chairs. Nonney sat in the chair next to me. "You like her don't you?" she questioned looking at the stars. "Yea, I do but she kinda hard to read.. you know" I said looking at her. "She's been through a lot and doesn't like to open up to people, but I have a feeling you can change that" nonney said before walking away. I began to day dream about Mia and I having some type of future.
