The mellow light of the evening barely penetrated my closed eyes. Slowly, however, the light got  brighter until I could barely stand it. I finally gave in and opened my eyes to find myself still in the hammock in the clearing. The sky was a pale baby blue, the shade of the morning sky. I had slept through the whole night in the hammock. Mom was probably really worried about me now. I went to hop out of the hammock but I forgot how high up it was. I tripped on the way out of the hammock and fell.

I tried to grab onto the accessing branch, but strangely, it seemed as if my hand went right through it. I dismissed it as being drowsy and walked home.

When I got into my house, Mom was busy at work, so she ignored me. I headed up to my room and got dressed.
