The night is March 13, 2011. Mary Lundgreen has just invited all her friends over. Mary is one of the most popular girls in her school. So she decides to throw one of her annual parties. After all the girls are there. They start to joke around and pull pranks on neighborhood kids. After about 13 phone calls. They here a large bang. They see a flash off bright lightning. Then the lights go off. Some of the girls say someone is pulling a prank. Other girls, like May Lee say the storm is causing the power to go off. The girls start fighting about who is right. When suddenly there is a knock at the door. Naturally no one would go down to answer it. So they choose the most unpopular person at the paty. They choose Maddie Vincenz. Everyone hated her. But, because her mom wouldn't let her have the party without her she had to be there. Maddie walked down the steps and she heard every step crunch beneath her feet. She looked through the blinds and she saw Mary's boyfriend Rick. Maddie opens the door and he comes in. While he goes in he falls to the floor. All the girls screamed and went to investigate. They looked at his body. It was covered in blood. They didn't know what to do. They saw a tiny little spear in his back. But then when they looked there were more than one spears. On one of the spears was a note it had said:
I am the Black Night. I have come to dispose of the scum of the Earth. I have decided to start off with you girls. If you wish to keep you lives return what is rightfully mine to me by mid-morning. If you don't meet my demands I will slaughter you and the rest of the neighborhood if you don't get me it.
When they read the note aloud they didn't know what to do. May said "that they need to find whatever is in the note.
