My thin dress doing little to protect me from the harsh winter wind I make it to the lake and, I dive into it and start swimming as fast and hard as I can away from him "you cant run bella not from me" he says. I go under the water and swim, but I know he's faster. I'm so stupid for running, just as I think that he grabs my ankle.}}}}}}}}}}}}

I crack my eyes open to see 7 people standing over me
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY Scarlet"
James and Accalia as loud as they possibly can. My Alpha and Luna who have basically adopted me. It's my birthday im officially going to be 18 today at midnight and I will find my mate.. yay note the sarcasm  this has got to be the worst day of my life. Once I finally usher them out of my bedroom. I start getting dressed once I'm finished I look in the mirror and fix my hair looking at myself not seeing anything but averageness  brown hair brown eyes. I straighten my black and white striped dress and throw on some flats leave my hair down and a bit messy.

I walk out of my bedroom, and into the pack kitchen. I see Bree and Skylar sitting together with Charles and Preston the four best warriors in our pack eating breakfast. I walk over to them and get a bowl of lucky charms. 
"Hey baby looking good today finally legal" Charles says
"Oh baby in your dreams" I wink
"Oh come on baby you know your killing me." he rolls his eyes and laughs. I laugh and go to sit by Skylar and he says 
"hey birthday girl ready for your Mate"
"Ugh don't get me started I don't wanna Mate"
"Yes you do. you just haven't felt the bond yet." he looks over at Bree and smiles.

I walk out of the kitchen ignoring my growling stomach, because I have to get away from this gross mate stuff. I go out to the edge of the wood line and sit on the swing. I look out into the woods waiting for something. I don't know what, but I know there is something I need to be here for. A small breeze kisses my pale skin and lifts my wavy brown hair. I close my eyes and take a deep breath in. My eyes snap open oh  shit  I smell some a rogue I mind like James
"Alpha we have a rogue at the west side of the woods I'm going after it"  I link Charles, Skylar, Bree and Preston
"guys west woods we have company" as soon as I can blink I have my warriors by my side. Growing up together has helped by bringing us together. We start running towards the sent, falling into order. Me in the front leading, Charles behind me with Sky and Bree following and Preston bring up the back . We find the unwelcome wolfs and there are at least ten of them, easy. "Sky Bree left Charles Preston right I've got the big ones in the middle" we all start slowly still, in our human forms close to the wolfs reeking of rouge they all have blood on them. "What are you doing in the Silver-Blood Moon Pack lands?" I ask with power in my voice. The men all change back to human forms
"watch it don't be off guard" I tell my men. The man who shifts in the middle knocks the breath out of me with his beauty, his blonde hair,  piercing blue eyes and blinding white smile. I can tell that they aren't rouges but why do they smell like it
"sorry il mio amore we are just trying to see Alpha James I have an appointment" I look at him like he's crazy
"then why are you trespassing with out permission from our Alpha while smelling of rouges?" I say standing strong as he steps closer to me
"because I was killing the bastardi brutte on my way here and there is blood on me and my men" I smell him wile he's closer to me and he smells like musky woods, and something slightly sweet like fruit. 
"I understand, I will take you and your men to my Alpha what is your name sir?"
"it is Alpha Jaxton Woolsey Tunstall but just Jax for you" he said and then winked at me I blush and turn around to cover it up I talk to my pack members. We grab some clothes for them out of the trees
"follow me please" I say and he chuckles
We make it to the Alphas house I walk in and go to the kitchen to see Luna Accalia and her 6 year old son. When I walk in he sees me, and comes running into my arms 
"oooo did they do something bad" just after he finishes saying that he looks at Jax and his smile gets bigger 

"Jax!!!!!" he yells and jumps out of my arms. I look at them with a puzzeled look and say

"wow youre going to ditch me for some random man?"
"No silly this is Jax he is my other best friend in the world" I look at him with a pout, and Luna Accalia interrupts us
"alright baby you know Scarlet gets jealous you can't leave her like that" she teases and Jake looks at me with a frown and I do my puppy dog face. He walks over to me again I smile bright when he jumps in my arms, and tell the men to follow me up the stairs.
