Chaper 1
The smell of the court, the squeak of the sneakers, and the sound of the basketballs being dribbled and swished into the net. My dream was coming true. I was actually getting ready to play with one of the best basketball teams in Miami. Miami Heat. It was my life long dream to be on the team and i never thought i would actually make it. I look over and see my wife and kid in the court-side seats and my little girl is waving at me. I run over kiss them both and i run back to continue warming up.
I had a pretty rough time throughout my entire life. I didn't have as much opportunities as most kids had. I was mostly on my own cause life at home was terrible. But somehow i made it here. It's an incredible story of how i got here and now let me tell you how my dream became real.
