Chapter 2: First day of school... Uh oh

Chapter 2: First day of school... Uh oh

I woke up to my alarm clock, for some reason louder than usual, I groan "Ugh... I HATE Mondays!"

" Tessa SHUT UP! I'm trying to go to sleep!" Dani shouts, hiding her head under her pillow.

I get up and smirk "oh no you're not!" I throw a pillow at her head.

"Hey!" She groans .

"Get up! We have to get ready for school!" She gets up as quickly as she can.

" WE HAVE TO GET DRESSED?!" She panics " we have to look good for the first day, Tessa!!"

She drags me to the bathroom and says

" Get dressed quick! I have got to do your make up after too!" I sigh .

" do you have to?"

" um.. Of course I do!"

I sigh again "fine, as long as you don't over do it..."

She gasps "I would never!" She hands me my clothes and runs to the downstairs bathroom. I quickly get changed and walk out and brush my hair, slightly curling it. I smile satisfied, but obviously Dani wasn't, she rushed in and started on my face without even allowing me to say a word. After she's done, she starts doing her On my way! make up and hair which she puts into a high ponytail, she grabs her phone and takes a picture of us and posts it on Instagram with

"first day of school! Wish us luck!

I sigh "Dani, did you have to do that?"

"Yup, now hurry up, or we'll be late!"

She grabs her bag and I take mine, and we walk downstairs, To see my dad.

"Good morning Dad" I say pretending to be all cheerful, even though I'm so nervous.

"Good morning dad!" Says Dani, Dani calls my father ,dad because we're all so close, it makes me feel good.

"Good Morning girls, sleep well?" As he flips some pancakes into are plates,

"Yes, thank you dad" I smile a little.

"Yup! Thanks!" Says dani.

"And how about school, how are you feeling about that?" Says my dad carefully seeing that I'm nervous.

"I cannot wait! It's going to be awesome!" Dani's always been a strange, strange child, I laugh.

My dad chuckles and says " how about you, Tessa?"

"U-um great..." I say sarcastically, but I put on a smile anyway. My dads sees that I'm uncomfortable and nervous but decides not to push it.

"Good luck girls" he smiles.

"Thank you" we both say at the same time, and laugh.

"We better go!" Dani says finishing off her pancakes.

"Yeah.." I sigh, finishing my pancakes too.

" bye dad" we both say

" bye girls!" We head out, get to school and we walk in, I look down biting my lip, really nervous, while Dani smiles, and keeps her head held high, sometimes I just wish I was her, and had her confidence, I get lost in my thoughts and bump into somebody.
