Fizzah's pov

As we make our way back to the crib to get me patched up, i glance over at Rakim. He's driving so fast and he looks so mad. 

"Rakim. You mad at me?" I whisper as I trace the outline of the logo on the car door. I look up at him, waiting for an answer. 

His grip tightens on the steering wheel as we stop at a stoplight. "Dammit Fizzah, we could have been caught and you could have been killed." He growls in an unusually quiet tone. I sigh and stare out my window. "I know. I just.. I just panicked. I didnt understand why I didn't pull the trigger. I just didn't." 

I whisper as the stoplight transforms from red to green. He shakes his head and pulls out onto the busy streets again. "Look Fizzah, I know this was our first bank, but you gotta learn not to freak out in those moments. If you don't either you'll be in a jail cell or a body bag." He says harshly, emphasizing the fact that I got shot today.

We drive in silence for another 20 minutes until we reach his crib. He pulls into the driveway and takes the keys out of the ignition. He lays his head on the steering wheel. "Look, I'm only being tough on you because i love you like a sister and i don't wanna see anything bad happen to you. We've been bestfriends forever Fizzah. Which means i know you. We shouldn't have done this. But it's too late to turn back." 

He grabs my hand as he says that. "Now let's get you in the house so we can fix you up." He smirks as he steps out of the car, traveling to my side to let me out. 

"Too many things have gone wrong in our lives Rakim." Is the last thing i say before I limp into the small but inviting house that isin fact, home.
