Three hours later and I'm still playing Battlefield. Me and Alex haven't spoken, but Jack came up and apologised and we talked for a bit, which was nice. Jack was the most hilarious guy I knew, but he could also give seriously great advice.
I sighed as I finally placed my controller down, a frown appearing on my face as I heard a tapping on the window.
I slowly stood up, pushing my window open and nearly getting hit by a stone in the process. I looked down at the snow covered lawn, managing to make out a figure in the dark. "Hello?" I called quietly, confused as to who it was.
They began climbing the fence up the side of my wall and I panicked. What if it was a murderer? Or Mark? Oh crap, I'm going to die...
I was about to shut the window and call for Alex or Jack, when Phil's face came into view, causing me to yelp in surprise. "Jesus Christ, Phil!" I whisper yelled, hoping neither Jack or Alex had heard my little yelp. Apparently I was wrong. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs, followed by Jack's voice, "Dan? You alright?"
My eyes widened and pulled Phil into my room, "hide under my bed." I whispered, watching him nod, looking quite panicked as he quickly dove under my bed. He probably thought it was Alex.
Jack knocked on my door before opening it, raising an eyebrow at me. "You alright? I heard you yelp."
"I'm fine, I just... Tripped over my Xbox wires." I lied. He looked a little suspicious, but just nodded and left.
"Phil... You can come out now, just be quiet."
"Are you sure?" Phil whispered and I chuckled softly and rolled my eyes, "Yes, Phil, I'm sure." He rolled out from under the bed, smiling up at me before standing up. He sighed as he looked over my face, making me try and look down but he lifted my chin up, forcing me to look at him. "I'm gonna kill Mark." He muttered, "Are you okay? How you feeling?"
I smiled softly at him to let him know I was fine. "I'm alright, honestly, it's fine. Just bruises and cuts." I assured. "Anyway, what brings you here and why did you climb through my window which made me think you were a murderer?"
He laughed a little, scratching the back of his neck, "I wanted to check you were alright, but I remembered you said you have a really protective brother and I didn't fancy approaching him by knocking on the door." He explained and I smiled, it was nice to know he cared.
He grabbed my hand, causing me to blush and frown a little. "C'mon. Let's go outside so we can talk properly without me having to hide under your bed." He whispered, my eyes going wide as he walked towards the window. I looked down at my garden, shaking my head, "No, no way am I climbing down there! I'll fall." I never really liked heights.
"You don't like heights, do you?" Phil asked, to which I shook my head. He sighed and thought for a moment before grinning. "I can't carry you down, but if you climb down a little bit of the way, I can catch you." I shook my head, "I'm too heavy, Phil." He snorted which made me frown, "Dan, I bet you're as light as a feather." He walked over and picked me up. "See? You're easy to carry." He swung me around and I had to bite hard on my lip to stop myself from giggling as he placed me down.
"I'll climb down, then you climb as much as you can and then I'll catch you." He smiled assuringly and I slowly nodded. "Fine... Ok."
I watched him climb down before slowly stepping out the window, gulping. "You're alright, Dan, if you fall I'll catch you. I promise." I nodded a little beginning to climb down, my nerves causing me to slip halfway. I almost screamed, but felt Phil's arms wrap around me, catching me and pulling me close.
I blushed slightly. "You caught me." Phil smiled, "I did promise." He carried me over to the end of the garden before placing me down, lying down in the snow and looking up at the stars. I smiled, looking up a he stars as well.
