That Monday I walk into the BAU at 7:50 and Agent Hotchner looks like he has been sitting in his office for quite a while. I knock on his door and he signals for me to come in and take a seat.

"Good morning" I say to him as I sit down in front of his desk.

"Good morning Agent Sharon, let's get started" He says to me as he hands me a stack of papers. Pretty much everything is the basic stuff when you start a job (Contact info, proof of residence, various contracts, etc) However there are a couple extra precautions because it is the FBI. As I am signing the papers I ask him if he wouldn't mind calling me Dr. Sharon, since I do have a PHD. He obliges. By the time we are done, it is 8:49 so we head to the briefing room.

I sit down next to Agent Morgan and a scrawny guy is on the other side of me (how did he pass the physical exam in the academy). There is also a woman with bangs and a man that looks like he is about Hotchner's age.

"Good to see you, Agent Sharon" Morgan says to me as I take a seat.

"Dr. Sharon" Hotch corrects him

Morgan introduces me to everyone, Reid is the scrawny guy, Prentiss is the girl with bangs, and Rossi is the guy that is Hotchner's age.

"Rossi? As in David Rossi?" I ask him.

"Yes" he says smirking.

"I can't believe I didn't recognize you, I love your books!" I exclaim. They say don't meet your heroes but he seems like one that is worth meeting.

"Thank-you" he replies politely. I am sure he gets that a lot.

I then whisper to Morgan, "Can he mentor me?"

"Spencer Reid will take great care of you sweet girl" Morgan told me

"Sweet girl?" I ask him

"You will get used to how innapropiate he is. You should see how he talks to Agent Garcia" Reid interjects. This is the first time I am noticing him and he is attractive in an unconventional sense, but it's cute.

Then a blonde woman walks in, "Hi Agent Sharon I am Agent Jarou but you can call me JJ. Welcome to the BAU. Let's get started," she is quick and concise, my kind of person.

She then briefs us and tells us that we are going to Nashville, Tennessee. A man is strangling women at their houses. All the women are caucasion and go to Vanderbilt University

When we get on the jet I immediately start looking at the case file. I want to make a good impression on the team and show them how dedicated I am to this case.

"JJ, it doesn't say anything about sexual assault, that's strange considering they were strangled. Usually someone that strangles multiple people rapes them as well" I point out.

"Maybe he is impotent" Morgan suggests

"Maybe. I will know more when I see the crime scene" I respond.

"Usually Morgan and Prentiss go to the crime scene. You are going to stay at the station with Reid" Hotch informs me.

"But sir-"

"You can do plenty there"

"Whatever we find there, we will make sure you see" Prentiss assures me.

Reid is sitting next to me, while the rest of the team is a bit further towards the front.

I am about to resume back to the file when Reid says to me, "You have a PHD right?"

"Yeah in forensic psychology" I answer

"I have three: mathematics, chemistry, and engineering"

"How old are you?" I ask

"30"

"Huh" I say with a puzzled expression

"So forensic psychology? How did you know that a spot would open in the BAU as soon as you finished the academy"

"I didn't," I laughed, "I knew I wanted to end up here at some point, I lucked out"

"We are lucky to have you here" Rossi assured me.

When the jet lands Morgan and Prentiss head to the crime scene. We then get into two SUVs and head to the station. Rossi, Hotch, and JJ in one and Reid and I in another. I end up driving. I am still not over the fact I won't get to go to the crime scene.

"Hey are you okay?" Reid asks me and I notice that I am clenching the steering wheel.

"Yeah, I just think that sense I won't be able to go to the crime scene I won't be able to get a full profile of this unsub" I explain.

"I'm sorry" He says not knowing how to calm me down.

"You didn't do anything. Hotch really didn't either, you guys aren't used to having an extra person on this team. Hotch is trying to figure out where I fit"

"I think you will fit just fine"

"Thanks, you are really nice" I tell him and I mean it. He is a great guy and I wonder who is the lucky girl that is with him because a guy like that can't be single.

We arrive at the police station at the same time and we are greeted by a distressed police chief and an eerily silent station. We get to work immediately.
