I'm in a beautiful garden filled with red roses. The sky is so blue and the weather is so pleasant. I feel like I'm in a fairy land. I'm wearing a pearl pink long frock and my hair is left open. A guy neatly dressed in a black blazer and jeans comes towards me holding a bunch of roses in his hand. His features are not clear. He stands across me holds my hand in his and bends to the ground. It is so romantic.
'I LOVE YOU' he says and gives me the bunch of roses. I don't even know him. I'm in a big dilemma. I haven't experienced anything like this before. I take the roses and smile. I notice a tattoo on his wrist. It is an abstract heart having a musical note in it. It is so awesome. I was almost amused for a minute. Am I dreaming?
How could any random person just come and propose to me? I don't know whether to accept his proposal or not. Should I? Shouldn't I? I try to see the face of the guy. Suddenly some noise bangs into my ears. It is my alarm clock.
Oh shit! I was dreaming
Today is my first day at the engineering college. I've tries so much and worded so hard to get admission into this college as it has a compulsory hostel facility. I've always wanted to be independent in my life. But it was not possible because of my orthodox parents. I
I get up from my bed and eagerly get ready for my first day at college. When I'm plaiting my long hair into a braid, I notice my mom entering my room.
"Did you put your Tiffin box in your bag?" she asks me
"Yes."
"Water bottle? Spoon?"
"Yes."
" Napkin?"
"Yes and how many questions are you going to ask me?"
"You are getting late. Come and have your breakfast."
"Just 2 minutes."
My father then drops me at the college. When I check my watch for time, I observe that I'm 10 minutes earlier than the actual time. Now I have to face my over safety rules from him.
"Stay in the college till I come to pick u up in the evening." He says
"Ok."
"Don't come out of the college premises. There are so many strangers outside here."
" I'm not a kid, dad" saying I walk away from him. I enter into the college.
I've never been into a co-ed till now. So my parents were hesitant to join me in this college. But I wanted freedom from their narrow mindedness and over safety damn stupid rules
Neetu and I got admission into this college from my group of girlfriends'. Actually she is my bestie. So we both took admission into the same college in the same group. She is a bit weird, but that is the beauty to her. She really and totally understands me.
When I enter the classroom, Neetu approaches me with a big hug.
"Hey, it has been a long time since we net after our exams."
"Yes, I'm so excited to meet you."
"Yeah! Aadhya, finally we are out of that 'girls world'- girls school, girls college blah blah..."
"You seem to be really very happy. But our so called 'girls world' was not that bad."
"Ufff.... I don't agree with you. Come on Aadhya, look around you. There are so many young lads here who are terribly good looking."
"That's what im worried about. I can't mingle up easily with boys as you do. It takes time. I hope we have different classrooms for boys and girls."
