Chapter 11

No POV
"She's so cute can I keep her? I don't see why we should return her major." The boy laughed at the kitten climbing up on his shoulders to get to his ears in fascination at their spuratic movement to her it was something new to attack and chew.
"No once the doctor's finished with her you will take her to base five it is close to discovery." The little man said grinning like a mad man. The boy frowned bringing the kitten back down, holding the squirming kitten to his chest restricting it's movement. Entering the doctor's lab the kitten stilled smelling the strong scent of blood that had gone putrid. The kitten tried to get away nipping at the hands holding her kicking and squirming.
"What a fascinating specimen if only I had a week to take a closer look at her." The kitten hissed and spat at the doctor's out reached hand.
"Fiesty little thing isn't she?" He chuckled taking the kitten by the scruff pinning her to the examination table on her side. The kitten growled and snarled before yelping as a needle was stabbed into her front leg.
The doctors hand came towards her face she went bite the offending hand but someone pried her mouth open. A tit of a feeding bottle was forced into her mouth which began to dribble blood.
The kitten froze at the spicy flavour to this blood she took a small pull then another to taste more.
Finding the blood tasty the kitten suckled the warm liquid the sharp pain of the exiting needle forgotten. The tingling in the kittens body ignored as she slowly changed eyes turning deep crimson red and inner bonds snapping slowly.
The doctor passed the bottle and kitten to the strange boy with cat ears to continue feeding.
"We just had enough blood from our inside friend. I had to top the bottle with donated blood with no ties to us to prevent any secondary memories of our work." The doctor said to the major while looking into a microscope.
"Good we don't want to spoil our fun yet, keep them in the dark a little longer." The major smiled before turning to the boy that looked content at feeding the little hell cat.
"After the doctor is finished with her take to base five to keep there for three days before leaking the location." He ordered watching the boy pout but slumping his shoulders in defeat.
"Yes sir. Why three days sir?" The boy asked confused.
"I want to see the effects of separation to the vampire king for maybe the near future purposes." He laughed walking out of the lab to oversee other projects in motion.
