Peytons POV:

I walk over to Lucy quickly, who is giving me a death glare.

"Hey" I say nervously

She stands up and punches my shoulder. There will defiantly be a bruise.

"God Lucy! Could you at least tell me why your mad before you start beating me up”?

She looks at me for a while and then hugs me. "Do you know I almost had a heart attack because of you?"

I point my finger at myself "Me?"

She nods. "I went to come get you from detention after school. When I saw you weren't there I figured you went to your locker but then I didn't see you there either. So I called you over and over again until I decided to drive to your house to see of you might be home. "

I feel guilt run all through my body. "I'm so sorry Lucy! It’s not my fault though"

She was still mad.

" And whys that?"

"Harry got me out of detention and pretty much blackmailed me to come home with him. He said that it was the only way I would "hear him out". I make sure do to air quotes around the last words.

Lucy's face becomes amused. "You were at Harry's?"

"Unfortunately"

She could tell I wasn't in the mood for talking about it and decided to let it go.

Since she was already over I let Lucy get ready for the party at my house. Of course she constantly tried to convince me to come but I never gave in.

I let her borrow a dress that I never wore since it was too short on me. She looked gorgeous as always.

Lucy has always been the prettier friend. When we go out she is the one all the guys hit on and I am the friend that makes sure she isn't getting into trouble when she is drunk. I don't really mind though, I like not being the center of attention.

"Be safe! Don't get drunk! Use protection!" I shout as she jumps in her car.

"Relax I can take care of myself." she then took off in the same direction I had come from only an hour before.

As I walked back into my house I started to regret my decision on not going to the party. I was going to be so bored at my house. Great.

When I get inside I run upstairs and grab my laptop, which had been charging since this morning. I went downstairs and grabbed a big bag of chips and then sitting on the couch I went to YouTube and tried to catch up on my subscriptions. This was going to be another uneventful Friday night.

But I got a little worried when it got to be 12:30 am and Lucy still hadn't come home. She never stayed at a party longer than 4 hours. She doesn't want to "Look desperate" as she calls it.
