A single droplet from the skyRefreshing and pleasing to the eye
Splash of joy on your skin
Sparks your senses from deep within
As the droplet turns to slight drizzle
You move ahead, to enjoy the season
The sudden appearance of crashing rain
Pushes your feet, back again
A single droplet down her cheek
The clenching sadness, which makes you weak
Drowning in your own emotional sway
You forgot to take her pain away
Then you realize the words you said
Your actions and the scenes you made
Caused a leak in the dam she held
Beneath her eyes and around herself
Another droplet on the pale paper
The one you thought would be your savior
Shade of blue left by a moving crystal
A trail of words beyond decodable
You start to dab, you start to blow
But the droplet has moved far below
Destroying the meaning of the words that meant
Far to much and far to great
A single droplet down your throat
Seeping life from its approach
Might crush you with the pain of cough
If slithers down your trachea unstopped
A compound with sigma-pie bonds
Two atoms of hydrogen which oxygen flaunts
The heavenly nectar that one craves
From dusk to dawn, and cradle to grave
All on a single droplet
All on a single droplet
