Ayano pov:
I can't feel anything.
Don't feel bad about this; I've been this way since I was little. I can imitate emotions of my classmates but I can't understand why they act that way. I do , however, take a small amount of feeling of other people's relationships with each other. I'm not talking about romantic relationships. Whenever I see two people together generally enjoying each other's company, I feel a weight in my heart. Maybe its "envy" or "joy", but regardless it's something. This something reminds me I'm human. That keeps me from not leaving school.
About three and a half years ago, my lack of emotions got my into trouble with my peers. I called a boy "baby-something" ,and his freinds attacked me after school. Don't feel bad about this either, my mother said almost all of them got their "punishment". I didn't understand at the time why that was wrong. Everyone else did called him that; why couldn't I call him that? It doesn't matter anymore. After that incident, I started calling everyone by their last names, so that would never happened again, and it's respectful.
With that in mind, it also made my social skills a complete wreak. However, the lack of having a social life made me unnoticeable so I could watch people with no problem. I also hear that it's normal to not have good social skills too.
I don't see why this year wouldn't be like all my other void filled years of school. Speaking of school, today's the entrance ceremony at academy high. I was making great time until I noticed a boy careless walk into the street as a truck was passing. I knocked him down before he could meet his fate.
"You should really should look when you cross a street. You nearly got ran over by that truck. " I said to him. He looked up at me. His face had a slight shade of pink and his mouth was slightly a gape. He didn't respond. "Your welcome, " I said to him standing up. His blush grew more. "Oh-right! Uh- thank you!" He stuttered standing up as well. I nodded and continued crossing the street.
I just saved a stranger's life and I felt nothing from it. -sigh- Oh well. I have my classmates for that.

After the ceremony, the students were aloud to inspect the clubs at the school. I walked around the hallways, contemplating if I should join any thing this year. I heard about the science club last year, it seemed interesting, and I had high grades in science related classes, but to my disappointment: it is unfinished for now.
Note to self: help the science club get going.
The next club I looked at was the martial arts club. Vice-president of the club showed me around and told me about a few of the activities. Before I left I asked why the president of the club wasn't here to do this. " Oh budo's sick. He couldn't do this so I stepped up. " They responded. Budo? Huh. That name sounds familiar. I thanked them for showing me around and left.
The final club I wanted to look at was the videogames club. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a tour of it since its leaders had personal matters to deal with. I was able to see a list of people who were already members. I noticed a small heart next to a student's name.
I left the club door to wait by the school doors until I was bumped into by another student. "My apologies I wasn't..." the boy started. I recognized him. That was the boy from this morning. Nothing was said for a while. "So, you er-, go here too, huh?" He asked. I faked a "are you serious" look. "Why else would I wear this?" I said motioning to my uniform. " Ha, ha. I see, I, uh, ment-I didn't see you with my class," He said. " I'm not in your year. I'm a second year. You're a third," I replied. "Oh really? Cool, I'm Yamada Taro. What's your name?" He asked. "Aishi Ayano," I replied. " He stopped talking and started to stare at me again. I coughed to provoke his reaction. "Oh, sorry. Must of zoned out. What club are you joining? " He asked. " I haven't found one yet, but the science, videogames, and the martial arts clubs look interesting," I awnsered ,"you?" " Oh I haven't found any that are cool looking yet, hey did you say the martial arts club? I know the leader. He's a freind of me and-" "TARO, WHERE WERE YOU?" A yelled next to Yamada.
