Your face was ashen, and your pulse was dropping.

I could hardly look at you without crying.

You looked awful, what with all of your injuries.

Zai and Jaewon had visited not long before me.

It turns out that they do have hearts.

Hobi couldn't make it to see you this morning.

He had a shift.

I bought you some flowers in a glass vase and propped them on your bedside table.
