I wake up to my mother shaking me. Ugh I hate mornings.
"Mia finally you're awake, I've been calling your name for an hour", my mom said.
Ugh just leave me alone...come on Mia be polite...
"Sorry mother", I said.
"It's quite alright dear, but you must get ready for your 16th birthday tonight", my mom said.

"Yes mom, I'll get ready right now", I said jumping up from my bed.
"Okay thank you, I'll be downstairs", my mom said exiting my room.
I run to the bathroom that is connected to my room, and strip out of my blue pjs. I hop in the shower, and was my hair with my strawberry scented shampoo and conditioner. Once I'm done I hop out of the shower, wrapping a towel around my body. I blow dry my hair, and curl it.

I take on last look in the mirror, and then I walk downstairs. My mother and father were telling people where to set up the decorations for tonight. I fake smile as I approach my mother and father.
