LETY'S POV
I was named Juliet because my parents love Romeo and Juliet. They both studied Shakespeare's works in college. So I joined a Shakespeare club at my high school. We go over a bunch of different plays that Shakespeare wrote. Right now we're going over my personal favorite, Romeo and Juliet. Tomorrow we're going to talk about the meaning behind the story. I think it's totally obvious. Love conquers everything. Even hated that has lasted for ages. It's a beautiful tragedy. I'm not really sure what other interpretation there is. It seems pretty straightforward to me.
TONY'S POV
I'm Tony, well Anthony technically, but nobodycalls me that. I'm in a Shakespeare club. I love acting in plays so I thought Ishould study some of my favorites. Although right now we're studying Romeo and Juliet.I don't really like that one too much but it does have some life lessons I guess.I think they were just lustful and Shakespeare was trying to warn others abouthow young people can overreact and act like fools. There's a girl in the club,Lety, and once it was announced that the next play we'd be reading is Romeo andJuliet, her eyes lit up. She must really like it. She's probably one of thoseromantics who thinks that it's the "cutest story ever!" or something like that.I don't get why people think that though. It's obviously not.
