almost four years ago"i can't believe you don't like licorice," you said, you face a mixture between shock and confusion.
"who does?" i asked. nothing could ever make my dislike for the candy disappear. it was one of the very few candies i couldn't not stand eating--and that was saying something.
"me! i do," you exclaimed incredulously. "how can anyone not like licorice, black or not?"
i couldn't help but laugh at the comical expression on your face. you truly couldn't believe there were people in the world who could possibly dislike one of your favorite candies.
"because it's black licorice," i stated slowly. "how could anyone possibly eat it?"
you shook your head, muttering something under your breath as you walked away from me and into another aisle, leaving me there with a small smile on my face.
