Hi, so yeah, just a new chapter. There is some love brewing up and shtuff, but she's still kind of warming up to him cx

[-----------------------------------------]

I woke up groggily, sunlight on the floor next to me. I rubbed my eyes and turned on my phone. 7:20. The furniture would come in a couple business days and I wasn't to start school until two weeks later. That meant that I had time to be able to adjust to life in LA and also find a part-time job. But for now, I had to get grocceries. I never really cooked, but I could make something if I tried. Of course, when school started, I would be way too busy to cook.

I got ready in the bathroom, giving my hair a bit of a brush as well as my teeth. I put on suitable clothes and stepped out of my door. Almost at the same time, Jordan also stepped out of his door. We stared at each other for a few seconds, then laughed.

"Hi Caelyn, wasn't it?" He said, looking at me.

"Hi Jordan, and yes, it's Caelyn." I said, blushing a little. He was just wearing casual attire, a dark blue shirt with jeans.

"Where are you off to?" He asked.

"I'm gonna go buy some grocceries," I said, "but I'm not sure where the nearest store is." To tell the truth, I kinda wanted him to come. I wanted to get to know him better.

"Oh! There's a Fresh and Easy nearby, I can take you there." He said. My heart fluttered in my chest and I managed a 'sure.' He smiled and we made our way down to the garage and to his car.

I was nervous when he opened up the door for me and I got in. I didn't really know him, yet I had accepted a ride from him. I wasn't suspicious of him, because there was something special about him. I didn'tknow what it was, but I felt as though I could rely on him.

When we got there, we walked into Fresh and Easy. I got a cart and rolled around, getting milk, frozen, supposedly 'fresh' foods, fruits and bread. It was unhealthy, but I had no time to make dinner.

"I should get some fruit for myself." I heard Jordan muse, startling me. He had been quiet and had sometimes wandered away to look at this or that. "I ran out a while ago." I looked at him. "You should, fruit is good for you." He gave me a slight smile and went to get fruit.

As we went to one of the self-check in counters, it stopped working and we had to call an employee over. A lady came over and worked on the machine, smiling at them. "Ok, it's all done!" She exclaimed, giving the machine a gentle hit, "now you two sweethearts can continue your shopping."

I blushed and just stared at the screen, working on paying for the food. Jordan paid for his and we left. "Thanks for coming with me," I said, "you probably have a busy schedule." He just shook his head. "Nah, it's fine." And after a pause, he said hesitantly, "I like hanging out with you."

The drive back home was awkward and I just stared out the window. I didn't know what to say.

When we got to my door, I turned the lock. "Thank you again for taking me shopping."

"Wait." He put his hand on my shoulder.

"What?" I turned around, my face passive.

"I'm sorry I said that, it was completely out of line." He said, moving his hand back to his side. I started to cry, at first, it was just tears running down my face, then it became sobbing. At first, he stood bewildered, then, he hugged me, letting my tears soak his shirt. "It's ok. Shhh. It's ok." He murmured to me, stroking my hair. I cried on, then tried controlling my tears.

"I-I'm so s-sorry J-Jordan, i-it;s ju-just tha-that y-you're just so n-nice to m-me." I sobbed, my forehead against the arch of his shoulder. He just held me, speechless. "N-not e-everyone w-was as n-nice to m-me." I slowly tried to stifle my sobs and succeed, just hiccuping a little.

He released me, a crying, snotty mess. "We-well, I'll see you tomorrow." I said, turning around and going into my apartment.
