Nerve

Chapter One

    I grab my phone and my computer and shove them into my bag. I meet Sera, Kyra, and Joe at our favorite coffee shop, Eastern Latte. We all sit down at a table and talk about a game. "So, I'm playing this game called Nerve. You've all heard of it! My dare today was to flash the school and I did that before I got here. I lifted my skirt up and flashed my ass at the crowd for the morning game." She laughs. Sometimes I think Sera is out of her comfort zone with this stuff but could it hurt to maybe play Nerve? "Yea, that game looks sketchy." I say.

"Well your first dare from me is to go talk to James!" She gestures to James Brook, he's the all star football player at our school and he would never like me I bet. "No! He probably doesn't even like me." I plead an excuse to not have talk to him. "Than I'll talk to him." Sera says as she marched from our table to James's table. Kyra sits up and watches along With Joe and I.

I slowly watch the pain as she goes up to him. The group of football players acknowledged her and gawked. "Aw Sera, could've showed us your front?"
His friend, Zain Oaklyn, laughs with his other teammates. "Yes, well only idiots fall for you and the ones that are just plain on drugs!" She says. I wonder what she's gonna say next? I hope it's not to James.

    "Hey, James. Are you seeing anyone?" Sera asks. He bits his lip with a sudden response, "who's asking?"
"My friend, Que." She points over in my direction. I nod at him and slump back down to my head position. "She's not exactly my type." He whispers. She grabs his drink out of his hands and dumps it over his head.

    "You're not nearly as hot as you think you are! You are a jerk! No wonder everyone thinks you're secretly gay!" She smacks Zain's drink out of his hand. "What do you mean, Gay?" He asks.

    "People think you're secretly with Zain! So go have your relationship with him and save all girls the trouble!" Sera yells as she walks back to our table. I grab my bag and speed walk out of there.
