Chapter thirteen: Reason

Hi guys! Thankies for waiting~ I been busy lately as in forever. Anyway, This is my update. Hoping that you would like it!

3rd Person P.o.V

Everyone is in a state of shock and puzzled, why? Why Mai? What is the cause? There are many thoughts and possibilities but they know, they don't have time for that now. Mai's life is on the line and they need to save their friend.

"Ummm... When did you 'stalk' Mai?" Naru broke the silence.

"Just...You when I learn about her" Tsuki answer...They are still thinking about the reason for the whole situation.

"Okay, let's do a recap! Up to beginning until here to this point" The boss asks his co-workers. All agreed to the boss and started the discussion.

"So, we're here to solve the case that Mr.Principal gave us. He reported that Miss Yama's child, Sakura- who we know is our friend, has an ability to see ghosts which is true coz we're her co-worker. And the incident started when Gene transferred to the school... One of those days, the truth revealed to Mai. She found out that Gene has a twin brother and that when the more problem came- including why Mai left? Anyway, that was solved. Then the paper incident. Now Mai is endangered" Takigawa explained it to them, in the shortest way. They know that we're running out of time, they still don't know what is the cause of these incidents yet. Then they heard a sound from the door, it was Mai.

"Mai, you should be resting," Al said worriedly at Mai. They were all worried at Mai.

"I had a dream, it was so scary. Then someone wakes me up" She explained herself.

"Who?" Takigawa asked her in confuse, it was early in the morning to have students beside it was Saturday already.

"Of course, it's the boy who wakes me up. He said I was going to have a scary dream if I am going there. I mean the house in my dream." She answered in relief.

"Could you tell what the house looks like?" The boss asks Mai.

"Let me remember..... It was an old farmhouse. It was so big, big as.... Yeah, big as our house. It's strange too because somehow it looks like its almost our house or is it our house that we lived in? But I still think that is not our house. I mean there are some differences of the house in my dream and our house" Mai answered confusingly.

"And around the house, there are so many souls. Around this school also. They were eating each other I think" Mai added.

"It looks like the case we solved in a high school, huh? Are we doing aga....." Takigawa didn't even complete his sentence.

"Lin, where is the history of this school?" Naru asks. Lin gave some papers to Naru who's now reading it. Lin gave a copy of the history of the school to his co-worker. 

"So, we're doing that ritual again?" Takigawa asks Naru about the case from the past.

"Yes, for this case. The case of Mai is- I think not the cause of this. Something hard to find" The boss explained. Now, his colleague is somewhat confusing about what their boss just said. But of course this their boss, he so confident of his answer. 

"Are you sure?" Masako asked in hesitation, she may not show it but she is worried about her friend too. But the boss just nods as an answer, no hesitation in his face.

"Let's get back to work" He commanded, now the team made their move to expel the bad spirits around the school. They made again the ritual like those in the case of "Forbidden Pastime." Things in the school got settled afterward. Everything is good except for Mai- she still not okay. 
If you look clearly, she pushing her limits to help her friends in their case. She can't understand what's Naru is planning but she still trusts him. Her gut's say it, that he's gotta trust that guy.

"Mai, can we see your mother?" The boss asked Mai...........
