Electrifying

Chapter 14

I jumped awake to a tingling feeling over my mark and moaned lightly. I turned to Ian and pulled him down on top of me.

“Oh god I’ve missed you,” I whispered softly as I wrapped my arms around him.

“I’ve missed you too beautiful,” he said in a husky voice. He pushed up against me and moaned loudly. I started breathing heavily and gripped onto his shirt.

“Wait, wait!” I jumped pushing him off.

“What’s wrong?” he groaned.

“First off aren’t you supposed to report to Vic?”

“I wanted to see you first,” he said playing with the bottom of my shirt.

“That’s sweet. But in the future I might want more children so could you please go now?”

“No.”

I rolled my eyes and sighed. “Second thing…”

“Darcy?”

“Yes. Darcy. Tell that mutt to back off or else she’s dead. She’s not your mate. I am.”

“I know this honey. You don’t have to worry about her.”

“What about all those other chicks?”

“What are you talking about babe?”

“The fact that I keep running into all these females, mostly human; who keep talking about you. I’ll rip the next one apart if I hear anything about you sleeping with her. I mean, how many have you slept with?”

“You don’t want to know that.”

“Ok. Fine. Whatever. Don’t expect anything from me,” I said before using my lighting/electric power to transport to a different part of the house. Ian’s mother Anastasia was singing to my children as they laughed and giggled. I smiled and sat down by her.

Hiro looked over and me and smiled the biggest smile I’ve ever seen.

Serenity’s Pov

I ran as far away from the doctor’s house as possible with Lumiere in my arms. They had lied to us and taken my baby as their own experiment. She looked sick, thin and she was only four. They hurt my baby and I wasn’t having it. I killed them, all of them. The doctor, his wife, their parents. The only person I left alive was their six year old son. He was basically innocent. I knew that he had family somewhere else and he never woke up from his nap. I called the police before I left without leaving any evidence behind. I finally had my baby back and I was going to bring her home.  She was sleeping and crying now. I frowned and cried softly to myself before running into Alec’s house. I leaned against the door and sighed. I placed Lumiere in his bed and stroked her light brown almost blonde hair. It was all the chemicals they put in her body and all the blood subtracted from her. She was so pale when she was supposed to be a golden brown. They were destroying my baby and I doubt they were feeding her the right foods and treating her like some sort of animal. I lay next to her and held her close.

Lumiere jumped awake crying a few hours later screaming.

“Lumiere?! Calm down sweetie,” I said softly sitting up and rocking her. “Your safe. No one is going to hurt you now. Do you know who I am?”

She looked up at me tears still running on her cheeks. She took in my scent and slowly nodded her head.

“Who am I?”

She didn’t speak. She just looked around and traced the lines in my hand. She looked in my eyes and lay on my chest.

The front door opened and quickly shut. As soon as the bedroom door opened my eyes turned blood red from the scent.
