"Have you ever been in love?" He asks.

I'm barely breathing - half nervous, water cascading down my dreadlocks in the most unflattering way.
I nod slowly. I'm mostly drenched, thin clothing sticking to my skin, yet somehow staring at his lips, counting the droplets of the remnants of the downpour streaming down the curves of his mouth.

"Doesn't it hurt?"

Dark brown locks fall over his face, I'm still staring at his mouth, my heart thudding hard against my chest.

"Exquisitely," I bite my lip, not able to meet his eyes. "You should try it."
