Chapter 4

Dipper pov: Mabel and I got home and sat down to finish some homework. Since our parents were still at work we decided to order a pizza and watch a movie. It was around 7 that they got home and we were so tired we just had to go upstairs for a nap. When I awoke it was around 6 am. I did a double take realizing I had slept 12 hours. I got up and got dressed into a blue top and some shorts. I tied my blue converse and put on my lucky hat. Mabel was still asleep when I went to her room. After spending 19 minutes trying to wake her up I decided to just poor a bucket of water on her. As soon as the water touched her, her eyes flew open and she jumped up. "HUH? MERMANDO NO!!" I blinked twice at her and she blushed. "Shut up!" She said shoving me out of her room. I went downstairs and grabbed some instant pancakes and syrup. When mabel finally came down it was 7:13. We had about 47 minutes to get to school. We heard a knock on the door and I opened it to see Candy smiling up at me. "Hello Dipper. Did you not see my texts?" She asked. I looked down to see around 40 texts from candy. "I fell asleep early. Sorry." She shrugged and walked into the house. "So uh what did you mean by Pacifica being less broke?" I asked at candy who was looking through our fridge. She straightened up and looked at me narrowing her eyes. "Why do you wanna know?"
"Because she's like my friend."
She rolled her eyes and sighed. "Well her mom and dad stopped doing those publicity stuff in town. They like disappeared. So I remember I saw them talking to pacifica and handing her a key. Then they like got in they're car and drove off some place I don't know." She said. This was intresting news and I had to speak to pacifica about it. After 20 minutes more of war
Things mabel and candy eat we finally set off for school. When we arrived I grabbed candy's hand and began to drag her all the way to our first class. "H-HEY!" She said obviously annoyed. We sat down in our seats and I looked around for pacifica. Then the teacher walked in. "Hello class did every-" The door burst open and in came a ruffled pacifica holding a cupcake. "Sorry Mr.Franco my bikes still broken." She handed him a cupcake and sat down in her desk. Mr.Franco told her it was alright and devored the cupcake in a single gulp. Pacifica glanced at me and waved a bit and I smiled back at her. After class we once again separated and I felt a familiar 2 hands on my shoulder. "Hey Dipper. Yesterday was a blast!! We have to do that soon." I looked down at Pacifica who was beaming at me. I couldn't help but laugh at her happy demeanor. "Sure. Maybe we can Friday or something." I said and she agreed before heading off. At lunch I walked into the line and got some lunch pizza and a apple. Also some juice. I saw Candy, Grenda and Mabel sitting down at a table and Pacifica at another. She was all by her self again with that pink book. Candy and mabel waved me down but I motioned to pacifica. Candy shook her head and I put up my finger signaling for once. Finally  I got them to switch and I sat down across from pacifica. "Sup." She looked at me. It was that same look of confusion she had given me several times since yesterday. "Sup." She smiled back. Candy watched our stare down before petting my head for attention. I looked down at the book and saw it was a sketch book. It had a picture of a boy it looked like. When Pacifica saw me staring she closed it. "You'll have to show me that some time." I said winking at her and she blushed a bit before nodding her head. Lunch was great with pacifica. Out of the whole cafeteria we were the most vibrant. After lunch we had gym. I changed in the locked before out. Candy and mabel were talking to Grenda and I looked to see girls leaving they're locker room. Pacifica was the last to exit. She had tied her hair back. When the teacher told us we would be playing volleyball everyone cheered. After being separated in teams I watched as one of the boys stepped up to be a leader and told me to stay in the back. Soon I realized we were versing pacifica. I winked at her and she rolled her eyes. She had that same game face she had on when dancing. She served the ball and we responded. It was a minute game before pacifica ran up and spiked the ball at us. The boys looked genuinely suprised while the girls hi fived pacifica. Why was she not popular? Match after match pacifica would continuously spike the balls and always win while girls were chatting and waiting for the next match. I looked a pacifica and saw how her blue eyes were narrowed and she was hopping up on her feet. When gym ended I ran up to her and asked her if she enjoyed sports. "I guess. But I could never be an competitive athlete." She said smiling and winking at me. "I guess I'm just not that competitive."
