Weeks passed and Evelyn is learning new things. And I'm learning to control and project my 'gifts'.
"Mommy can I have some Mac & Cheese?"she asked
"Sure."I smile
I started cooking dinner,and Stefan came in from hunting.
"Smells good."he smiles
"It's pork chops and Mac & Cheese. Evelyn's idea."I smile
"Besides,don't we survive on both?"I ask
"Yes."he replies kissing me
"Mommy said you chase bunnies."laughed Evelyn
"Did she now?"he asked,giving me a flirtatious smirk
I started making plates of dinner and grabbed special wine off of the wine rack in the basement.
Me and Stefan drank wine while Evelyn had apple juice.
"So any luck in tracking the 'threat'?"I ask
"No."he shook his head
"What does daddy mean?"Evelyn asks
"Nothing hun,we just saw a few mountain lions and we don't want our precious baby getting hurt."I say
After tucking Evelyn in bed that night,I stayed up doing dishes.
"So you told her I chase bunnies?"whispered Stefan
He wrapped his arms around my waist.
"So what if I told her?"I whisper
"Do you want her to know that her parents are vampires?"he asked,starting to kiss my neck
"I'd rather not keep secrets."I moan
I speed into the wall,he had me against the wall,kissing me.
He unbuttoned my blouse and kissed my body,oh God with the heightened emotions,it feels like he's touching every nerve in my body.
"Evelyn is asleep."I gasp
"Damn it."mutters Stefan
I heard the front door bust down.
"Go check it out Stefan. I'll go get Evelyn."I order
He kisses me and I speed off.
"Evelyn,hun wake up."I whisper
She opens her tiny eyes.
"Mommy what's going on?"she asks
"We have to hide,baby girl."I reply
I cradle her in my arms,and I speed downstairs,and I see Silas and Stefan.
Stefan,is unconscious and Silas stood there.
"I couldn't read his mind for some reason. Guess why?"he asked
I had my shield covering me and Stefan and Evelyn.
"Elena,I can't read your or your abominations mind either."he growls
"Evelyn run."I beg
She vamp speeds off and Silas grabbed me by the throat.
"How adorable."he grins
"Another gift I have,Silas. Is this."I grin
I felt electricity glow through him.
And he collapsed. I moved his body to a lake twenty miles away. And then checked on Stefan and Evelyn was in his arms and he looked at me.
"They know."I said
