Hayley and Anisa had a quiet ride to Berkshire. Hayley was anxious, Anisa was excited.
"Don't be nervous." Anisa said
"I'm trying." Hayley said
The bus pulled into the Berkshire bus stop. Hayley and Anisa got off.
"Which way?" Anisa asked
"Um this way." Hayley said remembering the shops and landmarks they passed on the way the first time.
Hayley and Anisa walked along the side of the street searching for the right street. Finally they found it and turned down to Max and Harvey's.
"You've been here before?" Anisa asked
"Yeah once." Hayley said
Hayley stopped at their driveway.
"Come on you got this." Anisa said
Hayley nodded and started walking. She knocked on the door. Harvey came to the door.
"Oh hey Hayley! Hey Anisa!" He said smiling
"Hey Harvs." Hayley said
They walked in.
"Max is upstairs." Harvey said
"Ok.." Hayley said
She started walking up the stairs, the door was open a crack. She could hear Max sniffling. She took a deep breath and pushed the door opened.
"Max?" She asked quietly
Max looked up.
"Hayley? What are you doing here?" He asked
"We need to talk. Why not do it in person." Hayley said and sighed.
Max got up and hugged her.
"Im sorry. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't said that to you." Max said into her ear
Hayley pushed him away.
"Max. You can't get jealous like this. I mean you could end up hurting someone." Hayley said
"I know. But it's hard.." Max said sitting down on his bed.
Hayley sat down next to him.
"I know. But you have to try." Hayley said
"Yeah I know." Max said
"Anisa's here too." Hayley said
"You brought her?" Max asked
"Yes. We're friends and I think she likes Harvey so.." Hayley said laughing
Max rolls his eyes.
"So we're ok for now?" He asks
"Yeah." Hayley said
Max turned his head to look at Hayley, their eyes met. Without even thinking, Hayley kissed Max. He kissed her back. She pushed away.
"I should go downstairs." She says and rushes downstairs.
Harvey and Anisa were at the table talking.
"Hey how'd it go?" Harvey asked
"I kissed him." Hayley said
"Did it mean anything?" Anisa asked
"I don't know." Hayley said sitting down and putting her head in her hands.
Max stumbles down the stairs. He grabs Hayley's arms and pulls her out of her seat. They stood face to face. Max hit her in the face, she stumbled back.
"MAX! WHAT THE HELL??!?" Harvey yelled
"STOP DOING THIS TO ME! YOU SAY YOU DONT LIKE ME THEN YOU KISS ME! STOP PLAYING WITH MY EMOTIONS!" Max yelled at Hayley.
"MAX!" Harvey yelled
Hayley's eyes started watering, her nose was bleeding.
"THEN MAYBE TEXTING YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE WAS A MISTAKE! YOU'RE SO SELFISH MAX!" Hayley yelled and ran out the door.
Anisa ran after her.
"FOR GOSAKE MAX GROW UP!" Harvey yelled and ran after them.
Max just stood there. He ran up to the bathroom, he dug through the drawer until he found what he was looking for. He took a deep breath, and he cut himself with the razor.
