It's sad what people become in the end sometimes. Ashes in the wind, bleak memories, maybe empty wishes. But just sometimes, they become something more, something bigger than themselves. They become one another.

"He ate my food. He ate my food that was obviously mine." Frank heard Gerard whisper. His whispering got progressively louder. "You ate my FUCKING FOOD, FRANK!"

I came reluctantly trotting into the kitchen, to see a fuming Gee. "What's wrong?" Gerard shook his head in disbelief. "You ate my food!"

"There seems to be a misunderstanding, Gee, I would never." This made him even more upset. "DON'T LIE TO ME, YOU DICK!" We both heard the door creak open, and in walked our roommate, Lindsey.

She had long black hair that was put up in a ponytail and bright red lipstick. Lindsey was super pretty, but definitely not my type.

Lindsey walked over to Gee and smiled, giving him his food, which had been in the fridge. "Don't get too excited, you have your food." Frank snorted.

She walked to her room and began blasting music. Fucking roommates. Gee wouldn't talk to me, but that might've been because his mouth as full of food.

I looked out the window to see a very pretty girl walking by. I made a low throat growl and couldn't help but smile. I felt something whack my ass, and I turned around to see Gerard looking at me, very upset. "What was that for?!" I asked.

Gee rolled his eyes and shook his head. "J-just leave her alone." I chuckled a little. "Ooh, do you like her?"

He shook his head once more. "Frank, I'm fucking gay." I sighed and took pity on him. Gerard was a hopeless homosexual. I shared some feelings for him, but I could never admit it, even though I was bi, it would never be accepted.

I had to go on pretending that I hadn't caught feelings for my best friend. One day I'd tell him, but I didn't know how. I didn't know if I even could, for I feared the outcome.

"Frank, are you okay?" Gee asked, noticing that I had been spacing out. I smiled and nodded. "Yeah."

Gee sighed. "Hey, you're my best friend, you can tell me anything." The word "friend" stung so badly, but it wasn't his fault, he didn't know.

To change the subject, I smirked and asked him "Did you eat all of your food already?" Gee squinted and glared at me with his beautiful hazel eyes. "Don't you dare!"

With a devilish smile, I began to slowly walk in the direction of the only thing he'd sell his soul for. "Frank, don't."

I began to inch closer and closer. "Make me," I challenged. Gerard's eyes grew to be the size of saucers, and he leaped past me to stick his face in his bowl. "Fuck lou, Vrank." Gee tried to say with a mouthful of food.

I secretly love to mess with him, probably my favorite hobby. There was nothing to do in our apartment. We had no jobs, and I was pretty unskilled at everything. Well, everything except for pining over my friend. That was the one thing I was good at.

The next day, I woke up on the couch. Everyone was gone. It took me a second to remember that Lindsey had taken Gee to a doctor's appointment. Lindsey was the only one with a car, not to mention the only one who could drive. She basically took care of us. I felt bad for her.

I also felt bad for Gerard. He hates going to the doctor, because that means needles. Lord knew how much he was scared of them.

Lindsey and Gee walked through the front door. She was scolding him, but it didn't seem to phase him whatsoever. Gerard looked high.
