Tommy the Dragon couldn't help but smile. Though the rest of the anthros at the party might not have known it, Tommy knew that Chrissy the Cat's song went to God. She just looked so sure of herself, so strong, so joyful. Who else could all that love be for?
The way she swung back and forth as she sang, the way she held her microphone, all that passion in her expression. Tommy knew the feeling.
So as he stood standing and grinning there as all the other anthromorphics danced around him, his heart leapt as he realized how he felt. He wanted Chrissy for himself. Not in a lustful or dark way, but in a warm, loving way.
It was at that moment that Tommy heard God say, "She's yours."
