*Time skip to two months later*
Colby's POV
Its been two months after what happened with Jace, and Alex and I have gotten closer. We found out we actually have a lot in common. I consider Alex my best friend, but then again I don't have any other friends.
As soon as class finishes today Alex and I have planned on hanging out at his house. He said it was perfect because his parents weren't going to be there and it would be just us. I get snapped out of my thoughts when I hear the teacher finishing up class.
"Ok class that's all for today. Make sure to do your homework and have a wonderful weekend." Mrs. Young says and as soon as she finishes talking everyone hurries to get out the door and start their weekend. I get my books all together and try to get to my locker as fast as I can. While putting my books into my locker I feel someone come up behind me.
"Hey Colby, ready to go?" I hear Alex say.
"I'm almost ready." I say and finish putting the books I don't need away. Once I finish putting them away I turn around and follow Alex to his car. We get in he starts to drive.
*Time skip during their drive*
Once we get to Alex's house We get out and go inside. His house is a two-story house with two bedrooms and three bathrooms. One bathroom is the master bathroom connected to his parents bedroom, the other one is Alex's bathroom that is connected to his room, and the last bathroom is downstairs. Alex's bedroom is somewhat like a typical teen bedroom. He has a king size bed, a dresser, a closet, some band posters on his wall, a desk with a laptop on it, a T.V., and other decorating items.
"Do you want something to drink?" Alex asks me when we go into the kitchen.
"No thank you." I say
"Ok well what do you want to do?"
"Movie?"
"Sure go pick one put and I'll go get snacks." After he says that he walks out of the room to go get the snacks. I walk over to the place where he keeps all his movies at. After I spend forever.....ok it felt like forever. I finally decided on "13 Going on 30." I got it and went and sat on the couch and wait for Alex to come back. When he came back he put the popcorn on my lap and then went to put the movie in.
About halfway through the movie I started to feel tired. I tried to keep my eyes open, but they just closed without my permission.
"Hey babe" I hear someone say. I open my eyes to see Alex looking at me. "I wanted to cook you breakfast, but it didn't work out so I decided we're gonna go somewhere to eat instead." Typical Alex I laugh in my head. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing. So where do you want to go eat?" I ask
"Its a surprise" He says and then we both get up and to go where he wants to take me. As we're walking there because he insisted we walked we stopped at this beautiful lake. He looks at me and leans in and---
"Colby" I hear as someone is shaking me.
"Hmm what?" I ask and open my eyes to see Alex looking at me.
"The movies over and its getting late so I think I should take you home." I look at the time on my phone and see that it's almost 8:00. "Yeah you probably should."
I get up and grab my stuff and follow him to his car. As we're driving to my house we sit in silence. Not an uncomfortable one though. As we're getting closer to my house I think about the dream I just had. What does it mean? Do I like Alex? Do I want him to be my boyfriend? I'm so confused right now. I have like never had a crush on any boy because I never got to know anybody well. Besides I don't even know if Alex is gay or not.
I get snapped out of my thoughts by Alex saying "I had a fun time today. See you Monday at school."
"Yeah see you Monday." I say and then get out of his car. I wave at him as he drives away and then I go into my house. I hope my dad isn't home or if he is that he's asleep. My dad hates it when I come home late and since I'm this late he'll be furious.
I go up to my front door and open it as slowly as possible. As soon as I shut the door I listen to hear if I can hear my father. After I don't hear any sounds I walk slowly and quietly to my room so I can finish my homework and figure out what's going on with my feelings and I. When I finally get to my room I open the door and close it behind me with a breath of relief. I sit on my bed and try my hardest to finish my homework.
After what feels like forever I finally complete my homework. Once I put my books back into my backpack and put it down I feel a buzz in my pocket.
Alex: Hey Colby it's me Alex. I put my number into your phone while you were sleeping I hope you don't mind.
Me: I don't mind. So what's up?
Alex: Nothing much
Alex and I then texted for hours about random stuff. I had a lot of fun texting him. I never knew what it was like having a friend, but I think I like it. Once we both said goodnight I put my phone down and went to go to sleep.
That night I had another dream about Alex and woke up the next morning with a smile on my face.
