Jamen sat on the edge of the cliff. Waiting for Forchin turned from what seemed to be an hour, to an eternity. She just wondered what happened to him. He should have been back by now; wouldn't he?

Many ideas ran through her mind. She didn't want to think about it. Jamen didnt want to have negative thoughts, but at the same time, she didn't want hope. The monks always told her that hope was a distraction, she knew that they were right.

She just needed to wait a little while longer. Forchin was a smart kid, figuring out that she was at tge cliff shouldnt be too hard. All that was left to do was wait.

Jamen didn't realize how high she was, all she knew was that she was tired, really tired.

I'll just lie down... just... forrr.. a... lil-

Jamen was falling through the air, she was too tired to even realize what was happening. She watched the ledge get smaller and her staff -which was slightly over the edge- disappeared from her sight.

Jamen's eyes fought to close; the falling part wasn't helping. But as quick as she started falling, she just stopped.

A whiplashed Jamen gained partial awareness and looked at her robes which were hanging from a spike of earth. Forchin! He saved me!

She looked into the cave she was now level with. Inside she saw Forchin, standing there. He had his hands behind his back and he looked scared.
Jamen was about to say something but she was interrupted.

"We have her." Came a deep, low voice from inside the cave.

Out from the dark shadow, Dai Li agents stepped into the light. One had his hands out, she knew he had saved her and not Forchin.

This was all too much for her and she couldnt handle it. The Dai Li walked towards her to grab her, and she blacked out.
