I had never been to California so this was a HUGE change for me. I am a small town girl from Montana... literally the middle of nowhere. I have always dreamed of coming to California but never thought it would come true. That is until my step-monster decided she hated me so much she was going to send me away for a whole summer. I guess most people my find this insulting, but I personally couldn't have been more excited to get away. She told me that she was punishing me for being alive. She had always treated me badly so I couldn't say I was surprised. What really shocked me is that my "dad" didn't give two shits that I was leaving. He must have forgotten that I existed too. The handed me a one-way plane ticket and off I was to experience a new life. Who knew when and if I would be back. As I walked to my room I glanced out the window to see a yellow taxi sitting in the driveway. Man they couldn't wait to get rid of me.
