Running was an easy release for Karsyn, especially around the gorgeous location the Marvel team was currently occupying. Her headphones blocked out the world while her feet tapped a rhythm on the ground, leaving all her stress in the sneaker-marks behind her.
It has been nearly a week since the article claiming Karsyn and Theo had reunited was released, and the Internet hadn't forgotten yet. The constant questions in her inbox was beginning to grow tiring, and Theo wasn't helping by constantly posting stupid little comments on her timelines. It has reached the point were Karsyn wasn't posting anything at all.
She felt her mind begin to relax as her muscles burned and flexed, her ponytail swaying behind her. Karsyn felt a hand grab her elbow, bringing her to a sudden stop. She turned and met the familiar blue eyes of her ex-fiancé, Theo Jones, her own dark chocolate eyes widening in shock.
"Theo?" Karsyn looked over his shoulder, checking for any reporters that might have seen them together. "Theo what the hell are you doing here?"
"I herd you were a part of the production here." Theo shrugged, "It just so happened I was passing through on my way. I wanted to see if we could catch up."
"Catch up?" Karsyn hissed, stepping back when Theo took a step too close. "Theo we broke up. I told you not to contact me."
"You told me not to text you." He corrected her.
"And following me on my run makes it better? Theo this-" she gestured to the space between them "-is not a thing."
"I know that." Theo reached out for her hand, and Karsyn abruptly yanked it out of his reach. "I just thought that it might be nice if we caught up. As friends."
"Theo-"
"Kari we were together for three years, we got engaged. You were the only person I ever wanted a future with. All I'm asking is one coffee."
"Theo-"
"Karsyn please-"
"Stop interrupting me!" Karsyn told him. Theo snapped his mouth shut, his eyes still pleading with her. "Theo I can't deal with this right now. If my friends found out-"
"Your friends meaning those cartoons who call themselves actors? Who cares what they'd say? This is about what would make you happy."
"They do make me happy, Theo."
"I could make you happy."
"If I agree to a coffee with you, will you shut up about trying to win me back?" Karsyn interrupted him before he could continue any further. Theo nodded. "And you have to promise not to comment that... flirty crap on my timeline."
"I promise. So does this mean you'll come out with me?"
Karsyn but down on the inside of her cheek, her sneaker tapping anxiously on the concrete. "One coffee."
