“Mr. Lightoller, why are the boats being lunched half-full?” Mr. Andrews asked him angrily.

“Not now, Mr. Andrews”

“There! Look! 20 or so in a boat built for 65? And I saw 1 boat with only 12, 12!!” he emphasized his last words.

“We weren’t sure of the weight Mr. Andrews. These boats may buckle.”

“Rubbish! They were tested in Belfast with the weight of 70 men. Now fill these boats, Mr. Lightoller. For God’s sake, man!”

Meanwhile, despite of the chaos in the ship, Caledon Hockley still manage to have a negotiation with Mr. Murdoch. He gave him a bundle of money as if he was selling one of the boats to save his ass. He also took the necklace out of the vault and put it in the coat. He considered it as his luck. Lovejoy had his own as well, a golden gun, inside his coat’s pocket.

Passengers find their own way of saving themselves. Others were throwing some wooden furniture that might help them to float above the freezing cold water. Mr. Bruce Ismay found his way by putting himself secretly unto the boat where the women and children must kept first.

“I’m not going without you!” Rose explained holding Jack’s face. They’re standing beside the boat ready to lower away.

“No. you have to go, now!”

“No, Jack!”

“Get into the boat, Rose”

“No, Jack!”

“Yes! Get on the boat! Rose,” Cal appeared behind them. “My God. Look at you. You look a fright. Here. Put this on. Come on” he put the coat on Rose. (A/N: Yung coat na pinaglagyan nya ng kwintas. Haha)

“Go on. I’ll get the next one.” Jack simply said, pushing her to get into the boat.

“No. not without you”

“I’ll be alright! Listen, I’ll be fine. I’m a survivor, alright? Don’t worry about me. Now go on, get on”

“I have an arrangement with an officer on the other side of the ship. Jack and I can get off safely. Both of us” Cal demanded.

“See? I got my own boat to catch. Go”

“Come on, hurry. They’re almost full” Cal added.

They convinced her to get into the boat by saying those arrangement thing. Rose got into the both. But they’re still looking into each other’s eyes. After lowering a few meters down, she jumped in front of the deck next to the higher one. Jack screamed in shock about what she did. He runs towards the way Rose’s heading. They saw each other in the main hall.

“Rose! You’re so stupid! Why did you do that? Huh? Why did you do that, why?” Jack almost cry in excitement when she felt Rose’s body again.

“You jump, I jump, right?”

“right!”

“Oh God. I couldn’t go. I couldn’t go Jack.”

“It’s alright! We’ll think something”

Cal saw them hugging. Jack spotted him above, holding the golden gun in his hand. He started to shoot freely as if he was just shooting a flying bird. They ran faster through the stairs leading them into the lower part of the ship. Cal chased them still shooting until they reached the bottom part of first class deck, almost filled with water on it. Rose screams as Cal releases a single shoot, but he was run out of bullet. He stopped. A thing came to his mind realizing something. He just laughs in disbelief. Lovejoy was behind him.
