It was around twelve pm when I finally went inside, I had to wake Eyrs, and she followed me in. After a quick midnight snack, we curled up in bed, me using her as a pillow, before falling into a deep sleep.
~Time skip for obvious reasons~
I awoke to a big pink tongue in my face, slobbering all over my clothes.
"Ew! You know this doesn't wash out!" I ridiculed Eyrs, but she didn't care. She walked out of the room to give me some privacy to get dressed. I pulled on a pair of jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and a sweatshirt, before putting on my slippers. After inspecting my reflection in the mirror, and fixing my hair and the cowl neck on my shirt, I walked out into the kitchen.
"Good morning." I yawned.
'Good morning. I'm starving.' Replied Eyrs.
"Good morning, Starving. Let me get my breakfast packed up, and then we can go.' I retorted, and set myself to packing.
After throwing some dried fruit, bread, and a little bit of meat in a container, I traded my slippers for my boots, and my sweatshirt for my jacket. She set my hat on my head, and wrapped my scarf around my neck.
"Let's go." I yawned, and opened the door for Eyrs, who bolted through, glided down from the porch, skipping the stairs, and landed softly in the snow, next to the shed by the garden.
'Why do you take so long?' She asked.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." I said as I ran hurriedly down the stairs. I struggled through the snow, creating fresh footprints on the snow. Eyrs looked impatient.
"Don't look at me like that! I don't have wings!" I yelled.
'You do, you just haven't found them yet,' she replied.
"Please, I'm a human. Not a dragon." I retorted. Eyrs snorted, and waited patiently. It took the two of us to pry open the door, as it had a nasty habit of freezing shut. I grabbed Eyrs' saddle from the inside, and after harnessing her, I tucked my breakfast in one of the saddle bags, and straddled her. She took off with a powerful leap. The wind rushed past me, and gave me a sense of freedom. The sun was just beginning to peak out from behind the trees, and the stars were beginning to hide.

I walked furiously around the camp desperately trying to find Eldrid.
GOSH DARN IT ELDRID YOU JUST HAD TO GO AND USE YOUR MAGIC TO PUT ME TO SLEEP FOR A WHOLE WEEK DIDN'T YOU? I
thought as I stomped away from the house.
Yep, that's right. The stupid idiot put me to sleep for a whole week. I guess he knew I would try to get up as soon as I woke up. Oh, right. And he has magic.
I ignored the slight uncomfort coming from my stomach. Although the poison was out of my system already and my wounds had mostly healed I still hadn't completely recovered. But, I didn't care. I was going to teach this guy a lesson for what he did to me.
I turned the corner and was startled by the face in front of me. Eldrid was stqndibg right in front of me, his well defined arms and body bright red.
I smiled wickedly, "Sunburn?"
"Ember don't you freaking da-"
SMACK.
"ACK!" he screamed and jumped back before he could get the last word out.
"Revenge is sweet," I said, looking at the mark I had left on his chest. "Ohhh, that's gotta hurt."
"EMBER IM GONNA FREAKING KILL YOU!" he yelled. I took a run for it and tried to get away as fast as I could but he was too quick. He was coming up behind me. Fast. I needed to do something before he caught up. A few feet away I saw someone emerge from behind a house and I quickly grabbed them by the arms and hid behind them.
"Kaena, help! You brother is trying to kill me!" I begged. Kaena was another one of my childhood friends, and Eldrid's twin sister, even though the two were quite different. She had long blond hair and blue eyes, while he had longish red hair and yellow-reddish eyes. Even though Eldrid could take her down easily, he was incapable of hurting a girl, so she always ended up winning.
She quickly turned to him and made him beg for forgiveness.
Or so that's what I thought she'd do.
Instead, she pushed me towards Eldrid and I got pinned to the ground with my handstied behind my back.
"Thought you could escape, huh?" he asked mockingly.
"Actually, yes," I replied back and pushed him off. I quickly got up and began running again. Eldrid was strong, but not as strong as I am. I ran fast and hid behind a house. I'd trick him into thinking I was long gone.
"When are you planning on telling her?" Kaena questions Eldrid quietly once Ember was out of earshot and she was sure Ember was breathing so hated even with her strong hearing she could not hear them.
"Soon. Let her enjoy herself little before she remembers her. These news are truly going to break her heart," he replied sadly and went off after Ember.
