Chapter 5
"Ali, I'm breaking up with you." He said emotionlessly. Then he turned and headed away from the class room and into the cold Central Park. My brain was momentarily disabled by a large amount of shock. Rosemary came rushing over to me when she saw I was crying, although she hadn't seen what had happened. I told her I was fine and that something had gotten in my eye. Later on I told her that Andrew and I weren't going out any more but she didn't seem to piece the crying and break up together.
I never saw Andrew for the rest of that week. We never talked or texted or spoke through walls to each other. He seemed to have disappeared until I saw him in theatre two weeks later. When I walked into the large stage he looked down and studied was seemed to be a large collection of notes. I rolled my eyes and took a seat my Rosemary.
"Hi!" she said so happily that I felt like strangling her.
"Hey." I replied in a slightly more negative tome reflecting my mood. For the rest of the class. I didn't bother to talk to anyone, including Rosemary. She seemed to enjoy talking to Andrew though. Andrew, in turn, forcused on her all class long, as if he were trying to memorize her exact habits. I changed seating halfway through the lecture and tried to ignore Rosemary and Andrew.
After class I journeyed into Central Park and questioned myself. Was it really possible for Andrew to dump me for Rosemary? Was he really that careless? Maybe he was as vampire after all, a heartless love sucking vampire. A tear trickled down my cheek and I started out of the forest of dry thorny branches only to hear a large commotion coming from the left of my. Being as curious as I am, I followed the voices but I made sure to keep in the trees so that the people of whom the argument belonged to could not make out my face. I soon found that the source of the argument were two teenagers, Rosemary and Andrew. It seemed like a normal fight to me but something told me to stay and watch.
I soon found that my instincts were right. Andrew suddenly wielded something that looked like a long piece of wood that was sharpened at eh end. He pointed it at Rosemary and I ran out of my obscured hiding spot.
"Andrew, no, stop it!" I exclaimed, shielding Rosemary with my body.
"No, Ali you don't understand." She said with sorrowful eyes seven though the rest of his facial features were fierce. "You don't know what she is." He said just as Rosemary grabbed me. My heart was racing as she pulled me across the snowy grass, still holding me in front of her. I looked up only to see two glistening fangs. They were real this time and hovering slightly above my neck.
"Rosemary, you're..." I began.
