5. Your views on mainstream music

personally, i couldn't care less what you listen to - everyone has their own personal taste and opinions. i listen to a range of stuff: indie, folk, easy listening, soul, pop, jazz, mowtown, dance, a bit of country so i'm a little mainstream myself. i sometimes like to listen to less mainstream stuff, but, let me tell you, Katy Perry, MIKA, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Ed Sheeran, Jessie J, etc. are just as good. and i can't stand it when people are like "that musician's crap", because oh no, they're not - you just don't like them, that's all. don't go slagging off artists because you don't like there music - they like it, millions like it, and truth be told, they don't go writing their lyrics/music just for you to like them - they don't give a shit about you. they write for themselves, they write about their lives, so give them a little respect [well, as long as they deserve it].

okay, um, i got a little carried away... o.o

but, yeah. so i'm basically fine about mainstream music.. it's your choice what you listen to, even if the lyrics are about shooting people, fucking loads of girls, or cliché bad boys. some of that music actually good, even if the lyrics aren't..
