"Richard!" I shout as I burst awake. My body is hot, and there's sweat all over me. My breath is rapid and I try hard to slow it down. Suddenly warm arms wrap around me and I'm able to catch my breath. I turn my head to see Chase looking at me worried.

"Who's Richard?" He asks, a low growl making its way to the surface. He can't help his jealousy. I calm myself before replying, anger grows more evident on his face the longer I take to respond.

"He's an old friend," I start. "Something happened to him a long time ago, and I don't know why, I just had a nightmare about what happened. I'm fine though, I'm good now."

"Do you want to talk about it?" His face became soft, more comforting.

"No, I don't think I can. At least not right now, it just makes me feel guilty."

"Ok, maybe another time," he says pulling me to lay down.

The rest of the night is a dreamless one.

When I wake up in the morning I find myself alone. There's an emptiness in my chest without him here in the morning.

I slowly pull myself out of bed and into the bathroom. I take care of all of my needs and dress in some yoga pants and a loose tank top. I'm about to walk out the door when I realized that I forgot to put on a bra.

That would've been awkward.

I yank off my tank top and quickly slip on a sports bra before putting it back on. I head back towards the door and make my way downstairs. I walk into the kitchen to see James looking through the fridge. I haven't seen him since school either.

"Hey James," I say quietly.

"Oh," he jumps with a start, "sorry, hello Luna."

"Please don't call me that, just call me Serenity."

"Alright then, it's formalities and stuff, but if that's what you want then I'll call you Serenity."

"Thank you," I say grabbing an apple. "Where's the training room?" I ask while munching on the apple.

"Out the door you entered to the left, third door on the right."

"Thanks."

"How long are you going to train?"

"I don't know, a while. What time is it?"

"Like, eight o'clock I think."

"Then I should be done around one."

"One?! Five whole hours?! Even the top warriors only train two or three hours."

"Well as a former assassin, we train five to seven hours. Perfection was a must."

"That's insane," he mutters in disbelief.

"Still, it's what I'm used to so it's what I'm going to stick with."

I leave the room and walk down towards the training room. It's a huge area with loads of equipment and tons of floor space. There's even a gymnastic looking area towards the back, and a boxing ring on the opposite side of it.

I have no idea what I want to start with. Making up my mind, I walk towards the treadmills and start off at a slow walk. Building my speed, I start to increase the speed so I can sprint. After a good thirty minutes I get off the treadmill and start using the weights. A little while more and start going through the different machines.

After about four hours, I decide to finish off with a little gymnastics. Walking over to a mat I stretch out my body. It's gotten a bit tense over these few hours. I start with cartwheels and somersaults before getting into my flips and back handsprings. These moves are always good when it comes to agility and evading anyone who may be attacking.

I eventually leave the training room and head back upstairs to take a highly needed shower. Stripping off my sweaty clothes, I step into the shower. The cool water envelopes me and I sigh in content.

After washing off all the grime and dirt from my body, I dry myself off and slip on some clean underwear. I look at the wall and see a grey robe. It looks nice and fluffy so I grab it and wrap it around myself. There's the slight scent of Chase on it.

It makes me tingle and I can't help but feel happy with his scent on me. I leave the bathroom to put on some clothes and once I'm done, I braid my wet hair.

I take my time heading back down for lunch. I haven't seen Chase in a while, I wonder where he is. I shake that thought out of my head, if something were wrong I would feel it.

Lucy is in the kitchen, cooking what smells like grilled cheese.

"Mmm," I hum.

"Hello to you too," she chuckles. "Want some?"

"Yes please! It's my favorite."

She finished up and hands me a plate before putting hers on another.

"Thank you!" I quickly say before munching into the delicious sand which.

"Anytime," she smiles.

"I may have to take you up on that offer," I joke. She laughs and it makes me smile. I don't make many people laugh.

"So what's been going on with you?" She asks, making some quiet conversation.

"Well depends on what you mean."

"Don't think we all didn't smell vampire when you came home," she says bluntly while munching on her sand which.

"Oh, that," I mumble.

"Yeah, what happened?"

"I ran into him, well more like he ran into me. I fought him and there was a point where he was able to pin me down. I was able to catch him off guard and get him to run off though." I practically lie through my teeth. Lies are so easy for me to tell that it scares me at how natural I sound.

"Oh no. That's weird though, vampires don't come this close to pack territory. They usually stay close to their coven territory."

"I know, maybe it's because I'm no longer an assassin. We're not allowed to leave unless we die. I'm worried he might be an assassin, but I didn't recognize him. The council might have sent him." I half lie again and it's still smooth as ever.

"I hope having you here doesn't mean death for us," she whispers. As soon as it slips out of her mouth she looks up and gasps. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it like that."

"No, it's fine. I promise I'll do everything I can to protect all of you."

"Thank you, that means a lot."

Sonja comes running into the room. I haven't seen her in a while. Why does she look so rushed?

"Guys! There's been a vampire spotted in the outer territory."

"What?!" I growl standing up.

"It smells like the same vampire." Both Lucy and I hustle out of the kitchen and out of the house. What the hells does that bastard think he's doing?! I told him to leave me alone, and that means he needs to leave the pack alone too. He's gonna get what's coming to him now.

Hey guys!!

Sorry this took a bit. I know people say school is keeping them busy, but honestly that's what's going on with me. I have a research paper to write and a PowerPoint presentation to make. It's been stressful.

Thankfully, writing is one of my many getaways and I really enjoy having people read it. So thanks for reading and have a good day/night!

Love you all
